The building is a manifesto of complexity in contemporary architecture. The volumetric composition shows a sequence of addictions and subtractions. There is a plenty of materials: plaster, zinc, wood, concrete, steel, glass, stones are combined together to underline the arrangement of volumes and surfaces.
The project consists of the extension of the Nobu restaurant in the Armani center of Via Manzoni Milan. We doubled the extension of the ground floor area that is divided now in lounge area and restaurant. In the restaurant area an extremely big cellar for the wines has been created. This volume became a functional and architectonical element.
On the occasion of the preview of an extract from the documentary Scatter my ashes at Bergdorf’s for the 111 years celebration of the luxury department stores Bergdorf Goodman in New York, Migliore+Servetto Architects has designed a very light set up at the 38° and 39° floors of the scenographic viewpoint of Lombardia skyscraper.
This was a project in response to the ‘Concours d’idees Allplan’. The aim was to design the Pavilion of France for the Universal Exhibition in Milan in 2015, whose theme is defined as ‘feeding the planet, energy for life’.
GDA started from a 2 level, 70 square meter, empty space, previously used as a toy store, in a ‘900 building in Milan center, right between Corso Buenos Aires and Via Morgagni, and transformed it in something able to reflect the high craftsmanship of Fili d’Aria solutions, the past and the contemporary.
The design solution for the apartment started from the need to modify the original project that included the execution of a partition wall in front of the entrance; this wall delimited the area deputed to food preparation closed by sliding glass doors and furniture provided with angular. This solution, however, prevented a rational distribution of the residence, having an area of 30 square meters, could contain only a small table and a sofa. The project, planned to greatly reduce the wall of the kitchen until it becomes a shoulder retaining wall system of open living space which becomes a distinctive design element.

90 Degrees architecture is a research on the urban environment of the city of Milan.
The idea informing this projects is to work on parts of the city uncompleted and never solved, without any urban or architectural quality. Our specific interest is to act on the never finished and never designed blind facades of buildings results of a failed development of the urban fabric and of a lack of design.
Our interest is focused on these “Walls” that, in the best of the circumstances, are spaced dedicated to commercial posters or low quality decorations and just in very few cases solved, usually through the use of green climbing natural patterns.
Project: 90 Degrees Architecture, City Walls Parasites
Location: Milan, Italy
Software used: The projects are redacted using mostly 3dstudio max with the eventual contribution of autocad, with different renderings engines, in particular we have used mental ray.
Brunner uses the occasion of the 2012 Milan Furniture Fair to present two new products: its ‘hoc’ stool and its ‘plot’ modular seating system. Ippolito Fleitz Group was commissioned once again to create a setting resembling an installation, an intense spatial experience in which to showcase Brunner’s new products. From a distance, the strictly black and white backdrop takes a back seat to the colourful seating objects, which draw visitors in to try them out. At closer look, the black and white backdrop transforms itself into a textual world, taking visitors on a poetic voyage of discovery, inspiring them to stop and tarry awhile.

For 51st edition of the Salone del Mobile of Milan, 2012 April 17th-22nd, De Ponte Studio |DPSA+D with La Perla, presents the event “Frammenti” in the Temporary Museum for New Design.
The Concept event in the La Perla showroom, created by Silvio De Ponte, is based on the concept of Fractal, generating a unique and homogeneous mix, becoming a sort of great embroidery products and establishing a new spatiality. The Fractal is a system constituted by a component module that is multiplied to generate a new complex and articulated scenario, comprising a set of fragments on different scales. The Fragment is the essential element of a piece of work, and it is an important part of the space.
In the north-eastern outskirts of Milan, as part of the restructuring of the former industrial core that houses the RCS Media group, the new office building B5 designed by Barreca & La Varra studio has just been completed. The building is an integral part of a master plan intended for research and intellectual work and contributes to the incredible transformation which the production areas at the edge of the city have undergone over the past few years.
