Developed for the Minneapolis Parks Foundation, “Water Works” will be a destination park and neighborhood amenity with nationally significant historic features and year-round appeal.

Lakewood Cemetery Garden Mausoleum in Minneapolis by HGA Architects and Engineers

The Garden Mausoleum at Lakewood Cemetery required careful consideration of the intimacy of personal grieving and the shared rituals of commemoration. The 24,500-square-foot building is anchored by a two-level structure housing a committal chapel and a reception space.

The Mississippi River is an unbroken thread running through the history of the City of Minneapolisand the Northern Plains region. Saint Anthony Falls—the only waterfall on the Mississippi—has attracted people to the region for thousands of years. By 1880, the falls’ massive power was harnessed to drive the turbines in Minneapolis’ monster flour mills, grinding wheat from the vast western plains into flour.

B+W House in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA by Julie Snow Architects

The design of this small residence on a corner lot in the City of Minneapolis was conceived as a progression of defined volumes: beginning with the public front yard, continuing with the two-story portion of the home, following with the tall volume of the living area, the enclosed garden and the garage.
