The starting point for the architectural approach of this project was a piece of “virgin” land, the form and profile of which gave little indication of the mutations to come.
We therefore considered the site as a starting point, a “base” on which different types of architecture could be developed.
The program is composed of 2 apartment blocks of 36 flats and 7 blocks of Multi-Family Dwellings with 26 flats. Each typology correspond to different ways of living: the first one looks like \”classic\” and fixed, while the second one is atypical and evolutionary. The aim is to answer with a maximum of possibilities to the different buyers’ demands (the first buyers, investors, families, early couples, etc …).
A long wooded corridor lined with services (laundry, bathroom, dressing, toilets) leads to panoramic bedrooms overhanging the garden, via two hidden stairs. Between these two volumes is inserted a room opened outwards. To create the interface with the current house, the new volume is completely glazed. It gives the impression of a levitating architecture that wouldn’t dare resting on the ground of this limited landscape area.
At the eastern approach to Nîmes, on the Remoulins and Avignon road, between town and country, motorway and suburbs, aerodrome and hills, the new contemporary music venue is going to magnetize the citizens of Nîmes, Marseilles, Avignon, Montpellier and Arles, with its striking architecture, a concentration of manifest energy. First amongst the performances that take place here, it mesmerizes the passer-by with the dynamism of its dramatic forms and immerses the spectator in a sculptural and colourful universe spread out beneath its angular shell.
The arrangement of this house is born of the radical choice to place the required swimming pool in the very heart of it. The topic was set as such, with this pure white parallelepiped covered with scales on North face and glass on South face, the outside and in boundaries fantasized by architects are both mastered and still quite unclear.
Program_ Design an equipment dedicated to con-temporary and emerging music, assembling together 2 performing show halls (1200, 400 places), 16 re-cording and training studios, spaces for digital exper-imentation, offices, and welcoming public spaces.
In Saint-Gilles Croix de Vie, a well known Atlantic port, Tetrarc is undertaking a social housing project with Vendée overtones, Mervau. After having reviewed the housing site (Arborea), its classification (Playtime) and its services (Boreal), and its construction using the wood option (Rosa Park), Tetrarc is giving its views here on the gradual renovation at the heart of small and medium sized towns.
Out in front of the Maison des Hommes et des Techniques, this basketball tree offers a new type of sports equipment that can be used by just about anybody! Upon first glance, it’s clear how different people can play simultaneously. Basketball hoops branch out of different parts of a tree at varying heights allowing for multiple teams of different ages to play.
The rhythm led by the double alignment of trees contributes to the extent of the site. Housings located along the street are inspired by this initial step. It is a kind of respect towards the scenery which reminds massive urban boulevards.
The project begins by building the main limits of the site. The both sides of the central place are connected to the parc and the environment.
The operation consists of three buildings housing placed on a foundation of business premises. The whole is articulated by a landscaped garden with vegetal and mineral nuances We believe that “beautiful” housing accommodations are bright, well-oriented and offer large views. That’s what we developed for the three buildings with views to the city center of Nantes or to the river. We used the same codes and registers, but declined for each operation. The aim is to distinguish each entity while having an overall unity.
