Parish Center Andorf in Oberösterreich by [tp3] architekten

Wednesday, August 10th, 2016

Article source: [tp3] architekten

The parish center had worn out and there have been considerations to renovate it for several years. Finally, the decision was made to address the issue. However, there were some challenges. We preferred to renovate the building rather than to rebuild it as the new building regulations of the diocese would not approve a new auditorium with the size of the old one. Moreover, the assignment of the diocese was not to increase the volume of the building. The building not only hat to be renewed with regards to its technique and insulation but also had to be adapted to today’s needs in terms of its room-sequence, staircase and façade.

Pharmacy Bad Hall in Oberösterreich by [tp3] architekten

Tuesday, August 9th, 2016

Article source: [tp3] architekten

The design for this pharmacy is based on the idea to make the individual functional areas visible on the facade. The result is a tough, cubic building as a solitaire within the existing shopping center.

The staggering of the structure is a result of the inner spatial and functional flows. Thus, the entrance area and the open and glazed salesroom as well as the other rooms (adjoining and ordination rooms on the upper floor) become visible as individual bodies within the total volume.

The client has commissioned a residential house with integrated working area. The task was to create a clear separation between the working and living areas via a shared neutral entrance. The house was built on a clearly visible plot of land situated on a hillside. It needs to ensure an optimal development of the exterior on the one hand and preservation of the residents’ privacy at the same time.

‘little back dress’, a private residence for a young couple in a rural district of gunskirchen, austria. Drawing from the local typology of the neighbouring farms, the design is a contemporary interpretation of the classic gable roof form to combine a house, a courtyard, and an outbuilding in one monolithic volume.
