The main idea for this house was to create a concavity to get a controlled view inside the lot.

The house is a small tribute to the pursuit of Mies Van der Rohe, where the transparency and the inner courtyards  were held.

Casa AVE in Lima, Peru by Martin Dulanto Arquitecto

A white box, a habitat platform and the space generated between both elements, composes this project.

The box is separated from the base creating a large space open to the landscape. The white block contains the master bedroom, which runs through the whole front of the house, facing the sea, and the two guest bedrooms, located on the back of the lot. These three rooms are organized around a hall, which reaches the staircase, and also connects all three levels.

This project takes part of a personal exploration where different blocks and the vacuum generated between them are the protagonists.

The volume was proposed as a large white box that has been excavated and within which appear different “buckets” with various materials (wood, exposed concrete, etc.).

The house has been designed as a big white box in which, diverse vertical cuts has been applied forming a general view of texture. The white box sits over a concrete exposed structure, that helps hide the windows of the different rooms of the basement.

Introduction

The project started as a result of research work and a study completed in the community of Santa Elena. This was accomplished through reunions, interview, and participatory workshops within the population. The data collected revealed dreams and expectations in favor of education of their children. For this reason, the community expressed the willingness to rebuild its future, overcome the past, starting from the construction of a school. Education is a quintessential instrument for collective growth and development of a community.

This new facility will supply the largest wind screen ever produced  for a passenger car in the history of the automobile.

Over 1 hectare of industrial space and offices have been used to accommodate the installations. Located in Lima’scenter industrial area, the project negotiates a neutral façade with apristine interior space.
