The design of a family apartment for 3 people provides for a large living space including sitting and dining room. The kitchen, although located in a different space delimited by partitions, is directly connected to the living space by a big opening in the back wall of the kitchen itself. We take advantage of the pillar located in the living room to realize a division of the space, creating a hallway towards bedrooms. The cladding between the living area and the bedrooms is made of wood (structure made of wood squares and covered by birch panels). The cladding creates a hallway towards the two bedrooms (one en-suite) and the bathroom. A spiral staircase, just visible from the entrance, leads to the upper floor where there is a studio.
The De Cecco Headquarters are an architectural landmark rising above an area of considerable town development. Two “edifices” linked by staircases and lifts, stand distinctly separate one on top of the other. The elevations of the cube-shaped lower part feature floor-to-ceiling glazing which hollows and lightens the sense of volume.
The design of this building is part of the typological experimentation of a model of residential settlement. The idea behind the project is the search for a development distribution that can return to the people the highest degree of privacy allowed by a residential unit.
The building is in an upgrading area by replacing unqualified and obsolete construction. The size of the project, however, and its location on a side street than the major artery of Viale G. Bovio, urban section of the SS16 Adriatica, confer to this building a exclusively architectonic role, with no possibility of influencing the city around, if not its presence qualifying.

The trabocco is an old “fishing machine” typical of the Adriatic coast. These construction consist of a platform set on pilots above the sea. Horizontally is fixed by long poles or antennas, carring a large fishing net stem out from the platform.
