La Fontaine in Polanco, Mexico by Sobrado + Ugalde Arquitectos

Wednesday, October 4th, 2017

Article source: Sobrado + Ugalde Arquitectos

Located in one of the most sought-after areas of Mexico City we were given the task of designing a department of 216 m2 just delivered and newly remodeled. The first thing we did was to open large spaces of light and double heights, since the department was very dark, had wasted spaces, corridors and small rooms, leaving many wasted areas; these things are exactly what you should not have a department of this level and cost, so we took on the task of minimizing the circulations and provide the best experience of moving from one space to another.

Friday, March 3rd, 2017

Article source: PASQUINEL Studio

This restaurant it’s located in a new commercial center: Miyana, on Mexico City’s neighborhood, Polanco.

The main idea for the design was to create a relaxed atmosphere through warm materials and different spatial planes that generate a dynamic perception of the place. The restaurant is set on one level, but there is a mezzanine for services and a private area. It is integrated by a terrace on the commercial track, a non-smoking lounge with its terrace, and a terrace for smokers.

YUMI YUMI-SUSHI BAR in Polanco, Mexico by Taller David Dana Arquitectura

Friday, May 15th, 2015

Article source: Taller David Dana Arquitectura

Mexico D.F. is developing new and extraordinary urban interventions with the aim of utilizing the existing cavities with potential. In this case the “Mercado Morera” located below one of the most congested freeways becomes one of the great examples of this ongoing scene. Yumi-Yumi is a brand new concept for Japanese cuisine; the client hired us to design an integral project including the brand identity. The design proposal had the objective of being easily replicated in multiple locations. TDDA partnered with Diego Leyva, Creative Director of Nhomada to develop the graphic design, we worked through a multidisciplinary process to engage the industrial design, typographies and architecture. The result transforms the typical sushi bar and integrates a whole concept for the traditional rice bowl.

Article source: Dellekamp Arquitectos

This three-apartment penthouse building on the corner of Calle Cicerón, located in Mexico City’s high-end residential hub of Polanco, resorts to a single structural strategy for all its achievements. Instead of investing in façade design, it bets on a structure of clear-cut spatial intention that maximizes window view while preserving privacy.

Tori Tori Restaurant in Polanco, Mexico by rojkind arquitectos and Esrawe Studio

Saturday, December 17th, 2011

Article source: rojkind arquitectos and Esrawe Studio

Considered one of the best Japanese restaurants in Mexico City and due to its remarkable success, Tori-Tori has now moved to a bigger location in the same area of Polanco, Mexico City, where Rojkind Arquitectos and Esrawe Studio teamed up to make it happen. At the residential area in Polanco that has seen changes in its zoning, houses have been transformed to office spaces or restaurants. Sometimes things happen so unnoticeably, that just a small sign appears where a new space has been developed with a completely different program inside, while preserving its exterior. Aware of this, Rojkind and Esrawe wanted to give enough strength to the new program that they proposed to transform the space inside out.

Article source: Hierve

The building stands on a small street in a residential neighborhood in Mexico City. Although it is located in a residential area, the street is very close to a busy commercial thoroughfare. This allows the building to be immersed in the peace and quiet of its street, and at the same time confront the urban alienation that pervades the commercial zone.
