This architectural project is related with recovery and physical and functional rehabilitation of a building located in the Alley of the hole, 24, classified as a World Heritage area, the same reborn next door to the Douro River and the streets and squares that this characterization zone with typical and unique architecture.
Kinematix is a spatial proposal developed for the headquarters of IT company Kinematix, specialized in developing technology for healthcare and fitness products. Integrated in a symbolical building from the sixties in the city of Porto, a former house for the cinema Lumiére, the space is defined by a rhythmical facade of windows, which covers all the length of the building.
Its pre-existence allows dazzling a House classified by the Oporto City Hall, a garden and a vegetable garden. The house was converted into two apartments keeping its original features; the principal garden remained, in the vegetable garden two houses were built. The common garage relates all the elements to each other.
1930 CITY LODGE is a design hotel in the north of Porto city. It has 3 suite rooms and 2 dormitory rooms.Using the original structure of an old existing house, the hotel was designed by changing the interior walls. Plenty of Portuguese pine wood was applied on floor, stairs and furniture and we especially developed the detail of the stair handrail.

One of the most demanding tasks in Porto nowadays is the intervention on the major amount of old and historical buildings of Porto´s downtown. This project is a renovation of a 20th century building to convert to a 17 housing unit for students and young people in general.
Maternidade House is a single-family dwelling set in a 19th century refurbished house. An example directly restricted to an existing context where the dwelling return to its basis. Adapted to the contemporary needs and standards, the intervention respects its inner scale and typologic scheme.
The Vaulted Cork Pavillion was built for Amorim Isolamentos Lda., to demonstrate its cork building materials at Concreta 2013, a biennial building fair held at Exponor, Porto.
PINC Pole for the Creative Industries of Park of Science and Technology, University of Porto – quickly became a space of great dynamism of Porto. A recognized centre for the creation and production of events and contacts.
For the WIP13 (Work in Progress 2013) competition under the Projecto Casa event, one was challenged to build a 2X2m stand that could express a innovative and experimental use of some particular construction materials. Linoleum, a versatile product used many times in domestical spaces, has a wide range of application in the architecture of spaces due to its unique characteristics that can render to the surfaces a high quality and comfort to the domestic environment.
Located on the blooming nightlife district of Oporto’s downtown, RUA occupies the ground floor of an old building facing a narrow yet busy street. The vacant space matched in many ways the traditional construction of Oporto old city center: narrow lots with high openings and ceilings, the extensive use of granite stone and local painted ceramic tiles (“azulejo”) on the façades, the appropriation of small and cozy patios. The relation towards the street was quite effective and dominant, as it could be enhanced towards the existing patio.
