The initialignitionfor the design of the Museum of the Bavarian history is a seamless integration into the UNESCO World Heritage site, the old town of Regensburg. Derived from the existing roofscape the building references to history and the existence. In order to create a haptic integration, the facade is classic and modern at the same time, made out of bright, whitewashed bricks. The existing lane structure is assimilated and continued to the river Danube.

Article source: Fabi Architekten BDA

The “Ganghofersiedlung” was built under the National Socialists as “Siedlung Göring-Heim” for the members of the “Messerschmidtwerke” into the 1930 years. The strongly rehabilitation needy settlement houses are under ensemble and protection of historical monuments. To leave the existing house still free, the architect built an transparent and structural supporting glasstransit. Just like a bridge between existing house and new bulidling.
