In the project designed for the new offices of production services and post audiovisual production of the Soul Movie Entertainment company, the creative concept drawn for the main headquarters and based on a strong urban footprint it is strengthened and brought to life on the floor below through new metropolitan languages. The project follows a policy of continuity not only in the style, in the graphic communication, in the underground recalls, but also in the same architecture that breaks into the other floors of the building. Conceptually it’s as if the meteorite landed on the ground floor has flooded the floor below, drawing three-dimensionally new scenarios! Upon entering the client is accepted from the spaceship’s hull that floats suspended above visitors. The scenario is suburban, characterized by grass cuts at floor level and floating lights suspended at different inclinations, as if they had been moved in a confused way by the conceptual impact of the meteorite.
The apartment, part of a nineteenth century building situated in the Roman neighborhood of Monteverde, is articulated by the presence of a sculptural volume functioning like a filter, staircase and container.
Exploiting the skylight, a vertical connection was made with the rooftop using a wireframe stairway, created by design and with the additional task of connecting the living room with the kitchen, filtering the two areas with a glass sliding door.
The “Supreme Sport Village” is a sports center located in Rome, in a suburb called Tor Sapienza, close to the eastern border of the city between Via Collatina and Via Prenestina.
The project is situated in the green spaces along Viale Giorgio Morandi and is placed in the center of the area, therefore the architectural volume works as a filter between the parking lot and the sports fields.
The connection is the focus: a continuous, equipped panel in raw iron and wood, thought as double wall, branches out into three spatial axes to thicken the consistency of one of the main building components. Value is conferred to the structure through additional panels that merge, loosen, huddle around, re-open and lastly extend; synchronous, inverted, alternate, they embody, unveil and gather the intimacy of this home: the panels are diaphanous to see, glimpse, conceal, discover, double: a wardrobe, an entrance, a hall, a large kitchen, a bookcase.
The project of the Technological Park, connected with the National Deposit for nuclear waste, is born from the idea to transform the host territory into a highly attractive area with a great technological significance, characterized by a high-quality architecture and city planning. The intervention is planned to integrate itself into the existing context of the ecosystem and the landscape, and to contribute to the requalification and the socio-economic development of the territory. The district of the park (an area of 40 hectares) is characterized by two main systems: the system of the constructed (primary and secondary urbanisation, constructed volumes, buildings, practicability, parking lots, open areas, paths, squares, power station to produce biogas) and the system of the open spaces (ecosystem of agricultural matrix, energetic plantations, tree-lined rows and basin for phytopurification). The two systems are in a dialogue with each other and integrate themselves both from a schematic and formal and a functional point of view. The composite model based on a circular form is applied in diverse scales: it refers both to the individual building and to the entire establishment. The circumference represents the permeable limit that allows the Technological Park to interact with the surroundings, through exchanges of energy and matter, like a cellular membrane. The cycle of water, energy and waste are fundamental references for developing the relation between park and surrounding territory and for developing its design within the space.
Generator Rome is only a short walk from the Colosseum and Termini Station, in the Esquilino neighbourhood – one of the oldest areas in the city. The property reinvigorates an elegant 20th century residence on Via Principe Amedeo. Its surroundings include cinematic streetscapes, leading to picturesque squares, churches, parks and a vast array of bars, cafés and pizzerias, as well as authentic local markets.
DesignAgency took its inspiration from the distinctive flavours of this diverse and historic neighbourhood, as well as the Italian culture and the Roman trade routes that have left their marks on this area to create a vibrant and welcoming environment with subtle ethnic flair.
The Motorino Checkpoint proposal is efficiently rigorous as well as conceptually poetic and playful. It not only reflects the demands of the program but it is also engages in a dialogue with its context and while doing so, hopes to convey the fun and playful aspects of riding a motorino in Rome.
A new architecture redefines the urban landscape of Rome historic centre according to contemporary taste. It’s the steel and glass «Lantern» of the “Ex Unione Militare” building, situated between Via del Corso and Via Tomacelli, that crosses the four floors of the building from the ground-floor up to the panoramic terrace with a view of the dome of the Basilica of Saint Ambrose and Carlo al Corso.
The apartment, located in one of the most historic areas of Rome, is on the third floor of a small building near Via Giulia in Rome. The design was based from the beginning on the valorization of the hall, the wooden beams, brick walls, characteristic features of Roman history, that had been hidden by the various processes that have occurred over the years. I have discover them and combined with the use of natural and warm materials, with a stylish contemporary furniture and with a particular lighting design which was specially developed with the Lebanese society PSLAB. The custom furniture is another important skill in the project, I wanted as much as possible to disguise everyday objects (dining table, chairs or TV using a special mirror designed specifically for the client) in order to make it more minimal space, a Roman antique container adequate for contemporary furnishings, a neon sign and artwork including point out the abstract sculpture of Keilani Salah and \”Studio sul movimento\” by Danilo Bucchi.
