Ekaterinensky Congress Center in Krasnodar, Russia by Piuarch

Sunday, July 24th, 2016

Article source: Piuarch

Piuarch’s design of the new Ekaterinensky Congress Center in Krasnodar, Russia, has been appointed for construction.

Located on the banks of the Kuban River, the design proposes a three level cultural complex, with a total floor area of 2,840 square meters. The plans include a conference hall with a capacity of 720 seats – which can be set up in different configurations – as a foyer, a restaurant, a bar and service areas, all the while offering a scenic view of the river bay on the side of the city, and a new pedestrian plaza where the entrance to the center will be located.

The building will also feature terraces on the roof and outdoor spaces on the ground floor, which allow for the expansion of the internal functions.

The project has offered Piuarch the opportunity to activate the relationship between the city and the river by designing a connection among the natural water environment, the coastal parks, and the urban area: reconfiguring the city’s interaction with the river.

Wednesday, July 6th, 2016

Article source: Berezanskyy architects

The project allows to alternately expand the functional space of the house depending on the changing needs and growth of the family. The house consists of main base unit and several additional ones. The base unit (128.5 m²) is the principal. It consists of living room, bedroom, kitchen-dining room, boiler room, bathroom, toilet facilities. It is a fully independent living unit. The additional units which are the children’s rooms, bedroom, cabinet, garage and terrace join to the base unit in the designated areas. The additional units can be added to the main unit at the same time or alternately depending on the real needs and opportunities of the residents. Thus, the house can “grow” with your family building up the necessary functional areas.

Masonic House in Moscow, Russia by FABER GROUP

Friday, May 6th, 2016

Article source: FABER GROUP

The premises of the four houses are located around a common stair-lift lobby – atrium. In the basement are areas of cinema and billiard room. The first floor comprises a group of ceremonial and technical kitchen, dining room and split-level living room-library. Main lift and staircase hall is raised on three floors and opens the space of the house throughout its extent. Having made the decision not to conceal the space of the staircase hall, but to strengthen the impression it makes, the volume of the hall was visually stretches by active verticals. The hall turned into a luxurious multilevel volume, with “heart of gold” in the form of a nine-metre cascading chandelier made by the author’s project. Hypertrophied height is emphasizes by rapid vertical impressionability of the walls, pointing upwards. The whole system of decoration starts from the entrance and develops in the remaining space of the house. Stucco, murals, designer fixtures and colours shape the environment of clear art deco motifs.

Sofia in Pushkino, Russia by Panacom

Wednesday, April 27th, 2016

Article source: Panacom

The territory of the former wagon-repair factory \”Sofia\” includes preserved buildings and manufactories of the factory from the early 20th century. Under conditions of the renovation of this historical space we tried to implement the basic principles of cultural design, use the basic principles of classicism in our project. The main planning axis, starting from the building of the shopping center (Saves workshop building) runs through the whole territory and dissolves in nature. The core of the residential complex becomes the canal. The quarterly buildings facades solution was carried out using contemporary architectural language, but using regularities of building’s classic facade. Most of the site area presents by residential area, which includes neighborhoods, residential buildings, apartment buildings-cylinders, children’s institutions, trade and service complex, FLC and garages. The boulevards channel and pond axis unites areas as well as green territory of parks. Areas with dense buildings are interspersed with open spaces, parks and public spaces. We offer three types of \”Park\”: a memorial or historical, regular or \”French\” and an irregular or \”English\”. Transport idea of the project – the exception of transit through the residential complex and the reduction of traffic in it to a minimum.
