Q2 APARTMENT in Saint Petersburg, Russia by MODOM

Wednesday, March 19th, 2014

Article source: MODOM

Contrast is integrated into the structure of the apartment. It shows the ambiguous and unstable condition of dark and light parts, while the body of the apartment remains intact. There is no actual feeling of contrast thanks to large dimensions and proportions weight. The dark parts represent depth, and the light ones produce expanse, which allows the inner space to balance its parts between each other. Lots of engineering requires ideal spaces.

Tuesday, March 4th, 2014

Article source: Za Bor Architects

The main place in za bor architects’ portfolio is held by offices of IT-companies. It has a lot to do with a pretty informal and creative atmosphere that these firms are willing to build up for their employers, because working environment is one of the key factors that affect the company’s attraction. It is worth to note that Yandex – the largest IT-company in Russia, and one of the world’s leaders in this field, has been intrusting their offices to za bor architects for six years already. Today there are 21 Yandex office in 12 cities of four countries of the world, that za bor architects have developed.

BBDO Studio office in Moscow, Russia by Nefaresearch

Thursday, February 27th, 2014

Article source: Nefaresearch

The main challenge that faced Nefaresearch’s architects, was to reconstruct four-storey factory building of 19th century to the office for advertising agency. The style of the office had to resemble an art centre, rather than traditional office. The aim was to create with irony a rich dynamic and contemporary image in the BBDO’s branded palette (red, white, grey and black), covering and unifying all office spaces and in the same time dividing them into functional zones. The image should also contribute to creative and non-standard thinking.

Friday, February 7th, 2014

Article source:  ITHAKA – Architecture and design

The project proposal consisted of sports and entertainment center with a restaurant part at the shore of the Yachensky reservoir in Kaluga. Due to the difference in the ground levels from the sidewalk towards the waterfront, the volume of the building is almost invisible from the sidewalk and harmoniously fits into the existing landscape.

Iponweb company office in Moscow, Russia by Za Bor Architects

Wednesday, November 20th, 2013

Article source: Za Bor Architects

As it happened, a central place in the portfolio of the architectural workshop za bor is occupied by the offices of companies working in the sphere of information technologies.

First of all it is related to the quite informal and creative atmosphere which such companies try to create for their employees. However the IT company Iponweb office, although in general it corresponds to this tendency, stands out due to both its unique architectural space and neutral colour grade which no office project by the architectural workshop za bor has ever had before.

Zaryadye Park in Moscow, Russia by Maxwan architects + urbanists

Wednesday, November 20th, 2013

Article source: Maxwan architects + urbanists

Our goal for this project is simply the creation of a timeless park that has great value for centuries to come. This is an informal and dynamic park that can adopt future trends and changes of use. We deny a formal, static, trendy and ’wow!’ oriented park that only relates to current circumstances and stays ‘hip’ for a short while.
