Cake and breakfast is a breakfast cafe, located in the the 19th century building in the very center of St. Petersburg . Preserving the interior contrast was the main wish of the customers, so we combined cute details, pink color and brutality of concrete.
There is a bar counter for takeaway orders ont the 1st floor and two rooms for a pleasant breakfast on the 2nd floor.
We used concise surfaces: concrete, terrazzo, plaster, slatted texture. Details and furniture were made in local workshops: concrete hemispheres, triangular countertops using brass, mirrors with a white backing in the form of a bowl.
GLAMY Beauty Spot is a best-in-class salon in a network of beauty spaces combining several different functions. The main concept of the venue is coworking for stylists of different types: hairdressers, cosmetologists, and manicure technicians. The space also provides for such functions as conducting workshops and training sessions, issuing ordered products from a branded online store and a healthy food cafe.
The salon occupies the whole floor of a new building in downtown St. Petersburg.
This project was commissioned by two twin sisters and their families who are going to use this house both for living and working. Thus, the project combines two houses and a workshop within one single volume. The plot borders a road in the south, while in the east and in the west it is bordered by neighboring residential properties. the northern façade overlooks a forest glade. The entire layout is divided into three blocks: two houses and the workshop with a garage. although the blocks have different elevations, they are all united by one single roof. The combination of various functional elements under one roof follows the traditions of Karelian residential architecture.

The interior design of St. Petersburg-based “Gastrobar O” celebrates Scandinavian laconism and pays a tribute to the local context. The restaurant with 46 seats is located on the first floor of the former 20th century club mansion currently occupied by a creative cluster. Functionally, the architectural solution follows the historical conception of the place — a space for meeting and communication. Aesthetically, it enters into a productive dialogue with the neighboring Danish design school.
Restaurant OTTO Pizza & Wine is located in the residential complex “Baltic Pearl” in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. It is already pleased with guests. In the interior we used most favorite materials: wood, concrete, metal structures and reinforced glass. Almost everything including furniture and fixtures is made according to our sketches.
The project represents a reconstruction of 19th-century cotton mill’s building. The project was implemented in 2017.
The client’s wish was to move their rather big company, which had been occupying several offices in the downtown, into a single building in one of the city’s green outskirts. The plot for the new office building is located in Olgino, a low-density residential suburb of St. Petersburg with small two- or three-storeyed houses all around.
Lahdelma & Mahalmäki Architects have unveiled Requiem, their competition proposal for the Museum for the Defense and Siege of Leningrad, St. Petersburg. The project was undertaken in partnership with Ralph Appelbaum Associates who, together, formed the only international team amongst the four final designs. The design sees an elegant spiral, buried in the landscape, reaching up from the exhibitions which are buried in a vast cavern underground. The route corkscrews out the top of the riverside, reaching outwards to give views over the new St. Petersburg.
