Central Station in Salzburg, Austria by kadawittfeldarchitektur

Friday, November 22nd, 2013

Article source: kadawittfeldarchitektur

Salzburg Central Station is one of two large-scale projects bringing the capital expenditure program of the ÖBB to completion. In the year 1999, the design of kadawittfeldarchitektur (Aachen/Graz) won a two-phase surveyed competition between 12 teams of architects. In order to integrate the station into the city, the task was not only to arrange the railway tracks anew. In particular, there was the task of integrating the historic train station from 1860 with its “authentic” appearance into a master plan that newly connects the boroughs on both sides of the tracks through several bridges and passageways.

PAPPAS HEADQUARTERS in SALZBURG, AUSTRIA by Kadawittfeldarchitektur

PAPPAS HEADQUARTERS/ MERCEDES SALZBURG
BRIEF Car dealership with a garage and showroom | ADDED VALUE In order to arrange the spatial program on this limited lot, all the functions are piled on top of one another, linked by navigable ramps and united under one roof. The vertical reorganization of a car dealership typology provides many advantages over conventional horizontally-organized car dealerships: via the ramps, the client can drive directly to either the garage or the salesroom where the cars are presented to the outside without reflective glass.

Sunday, April 15th, 2012

Article source: LETH & GORI

LETH & GORI’s project for an extension to Music Gymnasium Salzburg received a 3. Price in the open international competition.

The project creates a new extension to the school without stealing space or light from the existing densely built site. This is done by digging out the northern part of the site and inserting the extension as a onestorey building with courtyards and skylights. The roof of the building becomes a new playful urban landscape for the students.

Garden Room in Glass by Architekturstudio BULANT & WAILZER Designed using AutoCAD and Rendered using Maya and Rhino

Conversion and Extension of Sailer House, Salzburg

The owners of a Salzburg villa, wanted to add a weather-protected space that could be used all year round and would connect the house with the garden. Our main interest concerned the opening of the house to the south-sided garden. We created a large terrace reaching to the border of the property, on which we placed the garden room of glass and a pergola with tension ropes to provide shadow through plants or textiles. The arrangement of living room (music room), glass house, pergola, terrace, and a garden wall at the side-axis of the building create a chain of interwoven spaces, each closed and protected to a different degree.
