The new facilities of the Nova Cumbica State School replaced existing buildings that were in bad physical conditions, undersized and that presented poor urban relations with their immediate surroundings.

Directed by an existing structure, we tried to make the project assimilate this structural interferences in a natural way in its external volume: the unevenness on the front facade was further accentuated by metal vertical louvers that help in the composition of the facade.
Restaurant Kosushi at Shopping Cidade Jardim (one Michellin star Chef George Kosushi) was designed in 2008 by Studio Arthur Casas. It has recently received an upgrade in 2014, in the form of a rooftop expansion.
São Paulo is a City that reveals itself behind the walls which makes some places amazing and special.
The discrete facade of the newest restaurant KAA gives no hint of what may prove to be internally. Inside, the narrow space of 798 m2 gets a new depth through the Green verical wall with plants from the Atlantic forest. The water mirror on the botton of the tropical green wall refers to “Igarapés”, that were so common before as well as nowadays in that region.

The Minhocão viaduct was built in 1971 as a sign of the modernity who gave to the cars a central place. Today, it appears as a scar in São Paulo downtown. The director plan has until 16 years to transform this elevation of almost 3km. For many years the focus was on the future of the high road, but never its lower part, completely forgotten in this reflection while it is surely the most affected, such as an urban tunnel, source of shade, a leftover of the São Paulo city.
The house is located in a residential neighborhood in São Paulo – Brazil, and its typical configuration (10m x 37m) enabled the design of an open space between the boundary walls.
The new store of Fernando Jaeger has 400sqm and 3 floors: the basement contains the parking and area for technical loading and unloading. The ground floor and upper floor houses the furniture products developed by the brand and support areas.
Vigliecca & Associados developed a project that unites in a single building the complexity of eight high-end materials and clean fuel research laboratories located at São Carlos Federal University, one of the main universities in Brazil, creating a naturally fresh and bright environment in the midst of São Paulo state’s torrid countryside.

This 247m2 Toy House is located in São Paulo, Brazil, a few meters from the house where the family lives. The project was conceived as a huge play place for a fast growing family, designed to be home for the children’s toys and venue to host parties and events for all members.
The discrete entrance, for security purpose, opens up with an invitation to play. A stair-case leads visitors to choose among three different levels.
The architectural party adopted in the new Unilever Aguaí Site project, meets three important needs, typical of contemporary industrial compounds: flexibility, rationalization and sustainability, becoming a twenty first century industrial site model for Unilever.
