Three Apartment in São Paulo, Brazil by Fábrica Arquitetos

Sunday, January 19th, 2020

Article source: Fábrica Arquitetos

The Project consists of the refurbishment of a 38m² apartment in São Paulo, Brazil, in which the main goal was to optimize the space and produce the sensation of wideness through material and carpentry.

To do that we decided to work with lines and furniture that extended longitudinally in the space, integrating areas that were separated, like the living room and the terrace. At this new open space, sectorized in the floor to mark the space designated to the kitchen and service, where we applied an industrial blue tile. The social area — where we have the office, living room and a table for meals- received a natural wooden oak floor that extends towards the bedroom. The layout we designed for the blue tile forms the image of a ‘V’, connecting to the chevron layout of the wood floor.

Ortho Apartment in São Paulo, Brazil by Fábrica Arquitetos

Sunday, January 19th, 2020

Article source: Fábrica Arquitetos

The project consists in the transformation of a new apartment within an area of 42 m², located in the neighborhood of Pinheiros in São Paulo, Brazil. The idea of the client was to change the space, giving to it personality and functionality, without the necessity of demolition.

Assuming that, the first change was to take off the door that separated the bedroom from the living/kitchen, where we placed further a pivoting door. After that, the carpentry, the colors and the materials would be the protagonists of the space. In order to do that, we always like to choose an architectonic element to guide the conception of the project. In this case, the main theme were the orthogonal lines.

Unique Apartment in São Paulo, Brazil by Flipê Arquitetura

Thursday, January 9th, 2020

Article source: Flipê Arquitetura

Flipê, designed by the Brazilian architects partners Gabriela Mestriner and Natalia Minas, was born from the desire to assume a meaning about their production. A young office, made up of a team, set. We know the importance of the whole, that nothing alone has a complete result, and we bring this vision to our creations.

Our own language and personality is the starting point for any project, but we believe is it only complete once you find the customer, the use and the experience in space.

The architecture is created to meet the spatial needs of those who inhabit, so we must create spaces not only to supply them, but atmospheres to experience, where you can project personalities, modify it, belong to each other.

Article source: drizzle

110 sqm apartment renovation, off-plan purchase at Cayowaa Street, Sumare’s neighborhood, Sao Paulo. The main alteration to the plan consisted of integrating the living space, kitchen, and terrace. The tile floor finish, which refers to the imagery of outdoor yards / patios, comes into the apartment and defines the juncture of these spaces. The hanging cabinet / partition defines the apartment’s circulation with a mid-opacity frosted glass, to blur out the activities from the adjacent space. At the dining room side, it serves as a sideboard for trays, dishes, and cupboards, while concurrently supporting the TV and other hardware at the living side. A suspended panel at the bedroom was proposed to part the closet space while also providing a sideboard for the bed.

EP House in São Paulo, Brazil by Studio OTTO FELIX

Sunday, December 15th, 2019

Article source: Studio OTTO FELIX

The highlight of the EP House is the well-defined and balanced use of geometric forms. The wide spaces are visually connected and they are all opened to the exuberant nature of its surroundings. Built to be a family weekend house, it provides a privileged view of a dense forest and a large lake.

The straight lines of the architecture stay in constant contrast to the organic and fluid vegetation. With a simple, yet ellegant, visual solution the house is organized in two large block. The ground one is formed by an imposing concrete structure that frames and supports the upper block, which is completely built in metallic structure, bringing lightness and balance to the house.

Litt Bar in São Paulo, Brazil by LCAC Arquitetura

Sunday, December 15th, 2019

Article source: LCAC Arquitetura

Located in a region marked by diversity and in constant development and movement, the bar emerges as an urban breather, for lovers of art, drinks, cuisine and architecture. Space is shaped and designed with the collective concept, in which different sensory experiences are shared. It’s an invitation to pause and reconnect amid the daily rush within a big city.

The design came from an old building that once had uses as a residence, music studio and law firm, until the current owners opted for a bar. As the structure was of self-supporting blocks, for the new openings and connections of the environments, metallic reinforcements were needed to expand the spaces. From this party we use metal as the design of the environments, designing from tables, chairs, doors and decoration.

Guaratinguetá House in São Paulo, Brazil by Ricardo Abreu Architects

Sunday, November 24th, 2019

Article source: Ricardo Abreu Architects

The ceramic was the starting point of this project. Widely used as covering on façades, floors and walls, the ceramic allowed to explore many textures and different characteristics in each situation that it was employed.

On the façade, the first volume is coated with light bricks and contrast with the higher volume with dark bricks. A composition of three staggered volumes allowed the facades a volumetry that softens how tall the residence is.
