The Parque Residences, within the distinctive township of Eco Sanctuary, highlights the balance between modern resort living and the natural environment. This low-density 27-acre enclave features three striking residential towers with almost half of its acreage set aside as park land.
The design brief encompassed the client’s vision to create an enclave of facilities that reflects resort-style living in a green urban environment. Crafted for professionals and young families, the one-, two- and three-bedroom units are configured in an 11ft grid line module, stacking neatly on top of one another. The arrangement of the modules across the floors allows for spacious double volume spaces in the three-bedroom units. In addition to its architectural articulation, the strong box facade highlighting the double volume living spaces are designed in a staggered rhythm with timber composite panels wrapping around the generous 8ft deep private balcony.
Nestled at the old industrial district of Section 13, Petaling Jaya, Glad Tidings Vision Centre (GTVC) is a visual respite from its dour surroundings. It is strategically located amidst established and flourishing neighbourhoods, which are predominantly residential.
Brief
The brief called for a revamp and upgrade of the old church facilities due to the growing congregation. The new building comprises a Multipurpose Hall, a garden chapel (for wedding, water baptism, prayer and meditation, and outdoor functions), prayer halls, prayer chapel, function rooms for meetings and seminars, and car parking facilities.
The House is located on a small lot in the older suburbs of Petaling Jaya. The owners had purchased an old dilapidated house and wanted to rebuild a new family home. Upon inspection it was discovered that the old house had good quality Indian clay roof tiles that were still robust. And as the property faced west, the clay roof tiles offered a good solution to vertically screen the façade from the morning and afternoon sun.
The project is a data centre with ancillary facilities i.e. Administration Offices, Reception Lobby, Telco Tower and a Service Management Centre (Command Centre) for Digi Telecommunications Sdn. Bhd.
The S11 house is located in an established older suburb of Petaling Jaya. The existing old house on the site was built in the early 1960’s and had become dilapidated and run-down over the years. A new green tropical house was planned for the site and conceptualized along the lines of a tree. The large tree canopy would cover and shelter the living spaces underneath it. The S11 House was designed to achieve the highest level Platinum rating of Malaysia’s Green Building Index (GBI).
There were five significant existing trees on the site.
