Article source: Studio Alfirevic

Residential group ‘Danube River Housing’ is located on the Danube river banks near Belgrade, and its design concept is based on the idea of cluster like structure of rafts – buildings constructed on pontoons. The main goal was to achieve an atmosphere of housing partially hidden in the river underbrush, and also to establish the ambience of the neighborhood – a group of single-family house-rafts.

Article source: Studio Méta-

Porosis Pavilion is a temporary mobile pavilion located in Belgrade, Serbia. The space of pavilion is inspired by the porous condition of bone. Bone consists of cellular structure in voronoi system which is rigid and stable. The pavilion allows experiencing the porosity through the combination between the space and the structure.  The density of voronoi structure defines space for the temporary exhibition, as it is denser in the enclosed back space of the pavilion and opens up towards the front with less dense structure. The structure itself defines the facade aesthetic of the pavilion.

“Belgrade Terraces” by Z&Z Design Studio

Monday, February 7th, 2011

Z&Z Studios have submitted a proposal for a public promenade in Belgrade, Serbia. Recent research shows that on the average foreign tourist question — what is it that it leaves the biggest impression when you visit Belgrade — in 95% of cases will tell you – people or citizens of Belgrade.

Bearing in mind this fact, the guiding idea of this project and have just been – the people.
New Belgrade large terraces are designed at the same time as new symbol of entering the old town and as a final solution for direct links between the two historical entities – Kosancicev venac and old Sava river port, tourist port Belgrade today.

The big challenge was at the same time to respect the old background ambient atmosphere, and the buildings of modern architecture.
