Zibo OCT Art Center, an introverted experimental work, is in an open area far away from the city. Its architectural form is conceived from the traditional Chinese academy-“Heyuan”, a central courtyard was surrounded by several houses.
This porous, eaves-out, and ring-shaped building with a huge roof overhang is related to the local culture and responds to the specific climate. It also highlights the publicity of the building. Under the environment of shade and rain, people can also do semi-outdoor activities.
With its recent European launch, NIO is steadily entering the international electric vehicle market as a new player. Back in China, the brand has been a market leader and the public is familiar with the sleek NIO House and community concept. The development of user experience therefore seeks to connect more to the local culture, giving rise to site-specfic design. After collaborating on the NIO House in Nanchang, Lukstudio is given an opportunity to transform a standalone courtyard house in Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province.

Fall in Love with a City for a Flower
The project breaks away from the rigid image of conventional civic buildings. By blending the building into nature, and art into life, the architects created a public cultural landmark that is graceful, romantic, unique, and exclusive to local citizens.
Housing L is a renovation project of an office building that has been abandoned for more than ten years. The construction of the original building was never been finished since then. Located in a 4th tier city Laiyang, this kind of non-performing assets is an unpredictable result from the high-speed urbanization in China.
