Friday, November 15th, 2019

Article source: Nota Architects

Located in Shanghai Jing An Kerry Centre, Heytea stands as the first F&B along the leisure street between the mall’s south-north connection, covered with a double height curtain wall and  outdoor seating area along the sidewalk.

The former shop window facade system is replaced by an open and interactive interface that blurs inner and outer space. Sliding doors, double-sided seating, along with a recessed quick-resting place on the main facade, each part of the facade is made to maximise space utility,  which also enriches streetscape activity and brand influence.

SPII Office in Shanghai, China by BOUNDARY DESIGN STUDIO

Tuesday, November 5th, 2019

Article source: BOUNDARY DESIGN STUDIO

The old things can always be kept only in memories with nostalgic feelings when the new age rolls in, but for designers, it’s a permanent pursuit to keep them up to date.

Shanghai Penta Innovation & Entrepreneurship Institute is a shared working space renovated from an old plant. With its own courtyard, the building itself endured vicissitudes of history, embodying the enterprising spirit of “starting over the impregnable pass, though it’s full of bumps”, and embracing the innovative office model with a inclusive posture. The city develops and changes as tides, but buildings should be preserved for their duration, just like the classical music full of precious memory and historical value.

Focus Brand Management Headquarter in Shanghai, China by Yushe Design

Monday, August 19th, 2019

Article source: Yushe Design

Located at VOM Office Park in Shanghai, among the same ordinary modernistic “cubes”, the office of Focus Advertising Agency can be recognized at first sight due to its graceful installation expanding from the entrance.

The page-like structure made by pure white waved steel plates creates rhythmically changing curves in the sunlight. Just like the prelude in a piece of music, it invites the audience to hear more about its mysterious story.

As a native Chinese advertising agency who wants a more distinctive office for its new business development based on its enterprise culture—always armed with a vast number of information.

Sunday, July 28th, 2019

Article source: Quarta & Armando Architecture Design Research

Project description: After carving out their niche through fifteen years of hectic practice, Barefoot needed a new, bigger and better home. Specialized in family portraits and loved for creating cheerful galleries full of happy families and couples, Barefoot is not just another photography studio: it’s a place in which memories are crystallized for the future – a bright, open future full of possibilities. Quarta & Armando designed the new studio, located in Shanghai’s Jing An district, to become the best possible background for collecting happy moments of people’s lives. In line with Barefoot’s signature no-frills approach in which trust is gained (and kept) by means of sheer quality and efficiency, the whole space is designed around one single element: a twenty-four meters long parete attrezzata (equipped wall unit) separating working space and reception space.

SOHO 3Q in Shanghai, China by Ippolito Fleitz Group GmbH

Friday, July 12th, 2019

Article source: Ippolito Fleitz Group GmbH

Coworking spaces such as SOHO 3Q WuJiaoChang are places that buzz with energy. Where the unexpected forms part of your daily agenda. For China’s millennials, the country’s largest demographic by far, they are work environments for new encounters – places where you can meet interesting people and create new things together. It is a way to come into contact with other talented people, mavericks, movers and doers, who could perhaps become your next coworkers or business partners. Our transformation of a Shanghai department store from the 1980s makes a stimulating contribution to this subject – and with it, to the future of the work environment. The client commissioning this project was SOHO China, the country’s largest private real estate developer, which has already made a name for itself with its spectacular construction projects.
