It is a plan of the hair salon in Moriyama-shi, Shiga.
We considered the possibility of the hair salon to a town at the Moriyama-city which is a suburban city.
We design not unusual hair salon which is often located in urban areas, but local adhesion type hair salon into which neighboring people go in spite of themselves and was homely and open to town.
This plan is a project of the store combination house which is not seized with the established concept such as “the Japanese food stores such as cafe” in “dwelling, such as a shop”. Because we were the land where a site was built along former Tokaido of the Minakuchi inn which was the 50th post town of fifty-three stages of the Tokaido, the building did it with the placement plan that we prepared in neighboring cityscape and did first floor region with simple space constitution to assume a store, second floor region a house.
The plan projects that thought that taking advantage of the texture of the thing itself, and that put out or how to create a space to be able to have the attachment in the future. This site is facing the rural scene scenic, but it is also the land closed surrounded by a peripheral wall.
Where it is allowed to place a major feature on the second floor, we thought the configuration space that can be enjoy the scenery on the second floor in a relaxed manner.
This plan is a project of the small detached living residence toward a rural landscape. We were kept to a minimum in functionality and use the residence away. Because it because we wanted to create a space with the comfort and spread a small but.. Then, what we considered prepared a big opening like a veranda in the south side of the rural landscape, and directed calm space, and it brought comfort to space by using pure timber for an inside.

This project is a two-family home of complete separation type. While we design completely separate house, find meaning to live in a home together. Project began on the theme of such a thing. So we tried to design a one-story house overlooking the same sky. we arrange courtyard dividing in the middle of the house ,and family live as to surround around the courtyard. We hope two families feel that they are looking at the same sky from the place of each and which make them to feel living in home together.
Original people from ancient times was loved and it has lived with nature. Especially the Japanese always enjoy change of the four seasons for every season, and came as a part of life. People live with nature・・・Sometimes it may live inconveniently and it may not sometimes work that it takes time and effort .

This house does not look like a house.
The shape of the house traces the boundary of the village. The village consists of six houses in all. The shape of the village could be done by making it by stone wall in old times. The project site is located on the north edge of the village that is in the prominent place, and makes the face of the village.
