Scope in Shizuoka, Japan by mA-style architects

Wednesday, February 13th, 2013

Article source: mA-style architects

A big pipe sticks out from the valley. It totally focuses like a telescope while looking around the opening scenery. Makinohara plateau that lined with a tea plantation and houses along a gentle slope spreads out here. Here is nice and full of nature. I felt that it is necessary for client who has lived long there to find the way of building which could realize charm of this land again.

PLUS in Shizuoka, Japan by Mount Fuji Architects Studio

Wednesday, January 4th, 2012

Article source: Masahiro Harada + MAO / MOUNT FUJI ARCHITECTS STUDIO

The site locates on mountainside of Izu-san, where Pacific Ocean can be looked down on the south. The untouched wilderness, covered with deciduous broad-leaved trees such as cherry trees and Japanese oaks, gives little level ground. But we saw faint glimmer of architectural possibility along the ridge. The architecture would be used as villa for weekends.
