The new dental clinic – DENTLY is located in the renowned SKY PARK project, designed by the world-famous architect Zaha Hadid. It spreads almost over the entire floor of one of the towers. The foyer of the clinic includes a reception desk, a small meeting room/office, and a generous waiting area designed to create the most comfortable environment possible. To make the experience for the clients less stressful and to forget about the often dreaded medical procedures, calming elements such as an aquarium, plants, and a TV were placed in the space.

ELYSIUM SPA in Bratislava, Slovakia by Grau Architects

Sunday, July 3rd, 2022

Article source: Grau Architects

The word elysium in Greek mythology meant the island of the blissful – a place on the western edge of the earth where the gods can transfer their favorites alive, immortal heroes living there in constant spring and without worries.

When designing the spa in the middle of the historical center of Bratislava, we came out from the need to break free from the daily cycle and calm down. This space is a meditative hiding place from the outside world. We build the concept of an urban spa on the perceptions of space as a temple for the body. The reference is the historical public baths Grössling, which are located nearby and provided visitors with the purifying procedures of body and soul.

Base4Work in Bratislava, Slovakia by Studio Perspektiv & DF Creative Group

Monday, March 28th, 2022

Article source: Studio Perspektiv

There are only a few buildings with industrial history left in Bratislava that have managed to adapt to the current needs. One of them is functionalist building of Jurkovič’s Heating Plant, which has been opened to the public after a three-year renovation as a modern coworking centre – Base4Work from Studio Perspektiv as interior designers. The architectural solution in the form of new interior spaces and new structures is the work of DF Creative Group. The PAMARCH, specializing in the protection and reconstruction of monuments, oversaw the building envelope renovation.

Known for its sophisticated office projects, the Perspektiv architectural studio has completed the second branch of the Base4Work co-working centre inside the Bratislava industrial monument – the first one is located in Prague’s Churchill complex.

Monday, August 16th, 2021

Article source: Sadovsky & Architects

The property is located in a relatively dense housing zone in Bratislava, so-called “Pod Slancom”. These circumstances subsequently affected the allocation of the house and its principal spatial concept. The house is situated in the center of the plot, whilst its perimeter walls are separated and expanding into the garden area, here, partially, reconnecting to the house again.

Coffee Shop Limbach in Slovakia by Architekti Šebo Lichý

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2021

Article source: Architekti Šebo Lichý

The local café building is located in the heart of Limbach near Pezinok. It was created through significant reconstruction of the original small building of the local fruit and vegetable store, which had not served its purpose for a long time. The architectural concept of the simple-shaped two-floor building consists of the creation of a unified functional unit in the urbanism of the municipality with several levels of visual-functional connections between the interior and exterior.

Apartment H in Old Town, Slovakia by Grau Architects

Friday, September 25th, 2020

Article source: Grau Architects

The apartment H is located along Medena Street in a building block from the ‘40s. The three-room apartment lacks the high ceilings and axial enfilade which are a staple of the surrounding apartments built during the time of The First Czechoslovak Republic (1918 – 1938). Despite this, with its rational disposition, the apartment remains evocative of these spatial principles. The central axis of the original corridor spans the apartment from the entrance through the main living space, and continues through the double-wing glazed door to the master bedroom. The living space concept therefore kept its Old Town character, even despite its smaller size and orientation away from the street and into the common courtyard.
