Gansberg district in Koliba is an exclusive residential complex formed by three residential villas stretching across the south-eastern slopes with panoramic views of Bratislava. Horizontally divided floors emphasized by freely shaped terraces and balconies copy the irregular geomorphological shape of the terrain and its contours. The entire complex is thus organically incorporated into the Koliba slope and creates various configurations of views of the city and of the hill, the patios and the surrounding villas. This creates a quite variable topography of views, but also of floor plans with terraces integrated into the terrain, in loggias, and in semi-open and roof terraces. The horizontal division is supported by the vertical structure of façades which underline the linear dynamics of the variability of full-glass window apertures and grey-and-white vertical stripes of decorated structured plaster resembling a forest parterre.
Čerešne Living is Bratislava´s new city district which will continue developing also in other stages of construction. A unique residential district with the modern-day urban qualities of an advanced, developing European city is appearing in an area which has not been urbanized until now – in Polianky, between Patrónka, Kramáre, Karlova Ves and Dúbravka, in a forgotten territory of inaccessible gardens and industrial infrastructure, but also in an attractive location between a forest, gardens, a shopping centre and a well-known housing estate.
The story of this compact family house began in 2015 year with architectural study. Young family with two kids decide to move to location which is on the edge of Slovak capital – Bratislava, named Vrakuňa.
As it is typical for this locatiion, site is absolutelly flat and surrounding envitoment still carrying many historical connotations to original rural context. BLNT house was finished in 2018 year and our studio designed also interior of the house which was fully finished in 2019 year.
Since we looked for the first time on the clean plot, we start to organize general disposition of the site with main goal to create simple shaped compact house, which will cut a reasonable portion of the garden with his volume, as a benefit for clients. Other wellcomed condition of the design was to create volume wich will not stick up from surrounding volemes of older structures.

This two-story loft situated in the industrial object Mlynica is an unusual living space.
The Mlynica object itself, located in a rather remote brownfield in Bratislava, recently underwent extensive transformation and currently offers multifunctional space with minimal residential use.
The disposition of the loft is vertically oriented with a usable floor area of 73m2.
The entrance is on the bottom floor of the loft, where the closet, bathroom, toilet and bedroom are situated. A staircase leads to the uppermost level with a living room connected to the dining room and kitchen by a set of seating stairs.
One of the biggest players in the Slovakian IT business went through some major changes during 2018. The largest hosting service provider has become a member of the international group and outgrew its offices not only physically but also mentally. That directed them toward moving straight into the newly developing business district in Bratislava – Mlynské Nivy. The design of the new work environment was orchestrated by the Prague based Studio Perspektiv. The task was stated clearly – to create offices that will support company culture and serve as an exceptional event space.
Villa Atrio is situated in the hillside terrain of a villa neighbourhood in Bratislava. The piece of land is lucrative because it offers an amazing view into the valley of the river Danube and further to Austria, however, with its specific morphology it brings about a few complications. The considerable gradient of the piece of land enabled noise to spread easily from a much frequented road located down in the valley. Moreover, if the slope stayed in its previous state, the surface area of the piece of land we could really use would be minimal.
Sokolská Residence, an exceptional residential house, is located in the city centre, in the diplomatic district of Bratislava (Slovakia), surrounded by embassies, representation offices and the residences of diplomats. The aptly named street – Sokolská – represents the border between the town and a hill, between five- to six-floor residential houses in the east and a villa zone in the west.
Architekti Šebo Lichý did their best to fit the residential house to this environment; as a result, from one side the building looks like a smaller seven-storey residential house and from the other a larger three-storey elegant city villa.
GA DRILLING is a young and dynamically growing family company, that searches to achieve a creative working place for its employees in a new office building. We tried to find out the main philosophy and targets that characterize the company and translate it into an architectural response.
The main idea of the whole project is to create an open and continuous common space with closed working zones attached to it. This open space is crossing the entire building in both ways: horizontally and vertically, interconnecting the interior with the exterior, physically and visually. Light passes into the depth of the tract through wall, floor and roof holes openings, illuminating completely the interior spaces. This continuity creates a sense of transparency, clear halls making communication areas to become common spaces. This spacial continuity, or infinity, becomes a metaphor of the technological possibilities of development and growth of the company.

The project of a family house of ´above standard’ is defined by the general town plan, which excludes the possibility to lay the foundations in the back of the building plot, which had been requested by the investor. The context of the orientation, regarding the cardinal points and the environment, is what shaped the scheme in the end. The design is a layout of rooms connected to the vectors of communication channels of both the house and the land (mirroring the shapes). The segmentation of the volume connects the course of the sun with the area, the maintenance diagram, as well as the incorporation and preservation of trees in the project.
Crowdberry is the first crowd – investment platform in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Their goal is to create an alternative segment of investing in local companies with global reach, bringing together innovative and functional companies with private investors. Their offices therefore had to provide room for meeting, presenting interesting ideas, and common discussion about the projects.
We had a great trust from them, and the cooperation went smoothly. In the first phase, we had to decide how big the whole space needs to be. Many varations of the size of offices and their disposition were considered and discussed.
