Gao architects designed the interior of the flat, based upon a story of living an urban, dynamic and creative life in the core of the city. We associated the urban lyrics, colourfulness and liveliness of the passing trains with a sort of rough design of certain lofts which can imitate the modern way of living with its fusion of different decorative elements. Winter Cabin on Mount Kanin in Slovenia by OFIS ARHITEKTIWednesday, November 30th, 2016Article source: OFIS ARHITEKTI The research for the Cabin was initiated by OFIS arhitekti and CBD structural engineers in collaboration with PZS, PD Bovec, JZS, Permiz d.o.o. and Ortar in Jerman d.o.o. to develop Self-contained wooden shell, which resist extreme conditions on top of the mountain. The challenge is to install real objects, shelters in 1:1 on remote sites and study their response to extreme weather, radical temperature shifts, snow and rugged terrain. The project was executed by SADAR+VUGA in close collaboration with the initial student design team. Bank of Slovenia’s headquarters are located on Slovenska Boulevard. Kindergarten Jelka in Ljubljana, Slovenia by ARHITEKTURA JURE KOTNIKTuesday, June 21st, 2016Article source: ARHITEKTURA JURE KOTNIK Kindergarten Jelka is an extension of a kindergarten in a housing neighbourhood from the sixties in a Slovenia’s capital city Ljubljana. When a new housing complex was built in the vicinity, this kindergarten extension became a necessity. Local authorities have commissioned a local prefab company to build the new annex entirely from wood, also to showcase the adequacy of wooden constructions for the kindergarten use. Building with local wood is not only nature friendly way to create healthy and cosy environment, but it is also a first step to invite the children into the world of sustainable values. Family House in Horjul, Slovenia by 2AMV ArhitektiSaturday, June 4th, 2016Article source: 2AMV Arhitekti A modern family house positioned on a hill in the idyllic countryside of Ljubljana, Slovenia. It offers its owners a fabulous view of the nearby Village of Horjul on its north side, and panoramic views of the farmland in the south. It’s organized so that the living area is in the top level with the larch-wood terrace providing shade in the south. The sleeping quarters are in the partially underground fool level connected the outside area. Exactly this connection of the internal functions of the house and the hillside was the main goal of the design team 2AMV Arhitekti.
