Gabinete Veintiuno in Elda, Spain by Pablo Muñoz Payá Arquitecto

Monday, January 6th, 2020

Article source: Pablo Muñoz Payá Arquitecto

Gabinete Veintiuno is a psychology buffet located in Elda, Alicante. The project stems from the need for a space where a person will feel calm and tranquil. The distribution before the reforms, which occupies a surface of 100m2, transmitted feelings quite contrary to those required, being spaces which were very divided and lit by small openings in the façade. We organised the new floor to suit function and we took advantage of the integral reform to carry out a great enlargement of the openings in the façade.

Wednesday, December 18th, 2019

Article source: Raul Garcia Studio

Located in Mora de Rubielos (Spain), this four-story detached house has a modern rustic style that maintains the spirit of the surroundings, framing unbeatable views of the Castle and the church in one direction, and rising over a large wooded orchard in the other. Both interior and exterior materials are respectful of the protected environment where it is located -woods and natural stones, type of holes …- without neglecting the design and the most absolute comforts, as is the case of the glazed panoramic elevator that communicate the different heights.

DUNE House in Valencia, Spain by RUBEN MUEDRA ESTUDIO DE ARQUITECTURA

Friday, December 13th, 2019

Article source: RUBEN MUEDRA ESTUDIO DE ARQUITECTURA

On a beach of fine white sand next to the Mediterranean Sea and tucked into the coastline dunes, we come upon a house that was built 80 years ago by a Parisian mayor.  This is the preexisting house of rectangular shape with a hip roof and a large enclosed courtyard facing the southeast.

The original house pertains to a previous era marked by a sober, dark, and closed-in sensation that appears to not want to enjoy its Mediterranean surroundings.  Its classic interior organization is built around a central hall running from east to west that distributes the bedrooms on either side, almost randomly, and positions the living room at the far eastern end of the house, as far away from the Mediterranean as possible although it is ostensibly so close.

The project consists in providing a space for the offices of this new department within an industrial building built for logistics.

The new era and ecosystems require new ways of working and living in which the users decide how they are going to use the space.

Different types of spaces are proposed, ones more spacious and others more private, more informal…. Spaces that lead to inspiration, to creativity, spaces for concentration, for team work, for the development of ideas….working thoroughly on the relationship between all of them.
