The project is located at a small village in the North area of the municipality of Lorca (Murcia), inhabited by some 150 people, and belongs to a plan developed by the city council to promote the permanence of young people at their hometowns. Designing a project with this purpose made us think, in the first place, about the idea of belonging to a roughly defined group- in this particular case the young people from Las Terreras- but expressing, in the second place, the individuality of each of its members.
The existing interior space was an archetype of a Barcelona’s Eixample flat. Space configuration – based on small rooms concatenation – and its characteristic constructive elements – such as the hydraulic flooring, high ceilings with moldings, old wooden windows and doors, a free height of 350cm, or some singular elements like a wall fireplace – remained intact.
The Museum of Energy is located at the surroundings of Ascó, next to the river Ebro. The museum swings between public and private, between the river and the topography and between the urban grid and landscape. Because of this, one of the aims of the project was to reconfigure the site understanding its BOUNDARY condition.
The wonderful light of the Mediterranean enters into this house through its large windows establishing a continuous source of dialogue with the outside.
The elementary colors and noble materials join hands in this project in an inspiring atmosphere.

One. It is a refurbishment work for an especially dear, single woman. The apartment is located where the sun sets in Madrid. The space is interior, configured by three bays of 17 m2.
Two. She is determined about what she wants. Authentic wood pavement, geometrical floors, a tatoo as Beyonce´s and gentrifying environment with all the clichés that it involves.
Perimetro is the title of the space created by the young team of architects ZOOCO. A real home in a space of 36 m2.
The project is an open space with a clear and concise geometry, which is transformed into a living space by the compression and the expansion of bands that run around the perimeter. These elements provide it with spatial tension, configurig the necessary circles to accommodate a house in its minimum expression. The scheme is very clear, “full” in the perimeter as a server space and “empty” in the center, as an habitable space. Each wall has a goal and a function by creating one central stay where life carries out. The surface of each wall show outgoing and incoming stays getting the different scenes of daily use. In a panoramic 360 ° from left to right we found: rest area, formed by a wall that connects the sleeping area and the rest area; the bathroom, with a wall of an urban environment; the kitchen and the dining area, where you will find everything you need to use; and finally, a green area with aromatic herbs that allows to disconnect from everyday life and enjoy of an exceptional area.
On a site near the railway line, this single-family house is built in a volume whose geometry follows the alignments of the plot. Under a simple programme, the Project is divided into two floors where common areas are separated from rest areas. The daytime units are located on the ground floor linked to a pool and perimeter garden on a wide terrace presided by the projection of the main facade of the house.
Bitxo House stands on the gentle hills of the Pre-Pyrenean landscape of Graugés, a hundred kilometres north of Barcelona, in Catalonia, with the Queralt mountain range at the background. It is located in a suburban area between “mountain style” houses.
The owners, Xavier and Queralt, both of them musicians, acquired, about 20 years ago, a plot to fill the stave of life with their music. Over time, without rush. The design and construction of the house extended for over ten years.
Let ourselves open the recipe book on its “pretty homes” section in order to get a glimpse on how to turn an old Madrid house from the 50´s into a new and welcoming home to a young couple with kids.
This house is a private commission made by a young couple who chose a difficult plot on a hill with an inclination of 42 degrees, in front of the Mediterranean Sea with breathtaking views. The task has been to integrate the house within the magnificent landscape that surrounds it and to direct the livable spaces towards the sea. It has also been about working with an extremely tight budget, a complex site and ambitious ideas both from the client and the architect.
