Tyche Apartment in Barcelona, Spain by CaSA + Margherita Serboli

Tuesday, September 1st, 2015

Article source: CaSA + Margherita Serboli

The property occupies an art nouveau building of the Eixample district of Barcelona and was fully renovated by CaSA and Margherita Serboli to become the holiday apartment for an Italian family. The original layout wasted considerable space and was poorly orientated. Its longitudinal distribution, forced by the transversal bearing walls, resulted in many densely separated small spaces, spared along a long corridor that isolated the two ends of the apartment.

TAPAS BAR 4 LATAS in Barcelona, Spain by Pepe Gascón & Víctor Sala Bori

Tuesday, September 1st, 2015

Article source: Pepe Gascón & Víctor Sala Bori

The main idea of this bar concept is that the customer can enjoy a gastronomic experience where drinking, eating and sharing are interlaced: a place where you really do not share a single table, but share most tables and bars, fostering socialization related to food and drink.

SEPE offices in San Sebastián, Spain by COLL‐BARREU ARQUITECTOS

Sunday, July 26th, 2015

Article source: COLL‐BARREU ARQUITECTOS

San Sebastian is a lively city. It is the city of fusions. Its landscape is at the same time stony and marine, and its light is the white light of the haze and the bright light of Southern Europe. The Comb of the Winds by Chillida and the beautiful classical composure of the city express equally ambivalence.

Flat AB in Sarria-Sant Gervasi, Spain by Dom Arquitectura

Sunday, July 26th, 2015

Article source: Dom Arquitectura

The refurbished flat is situated in Sarria-Sant Gervasi. As a starting point few important decisions were taken. On one hand to rethink the out-dated overall organization, unifying the entrance and the living room, as well as the office and the kitchen. This helped a general spatial integration, generating bigger spaces that flow easily into each other, and reduced the number of doors and partitions.  On the other hand to revamp all the electrical, plumbing, cooling and heating systems to updated technologies. Refurbishing completely kitchens and bathrooms.

Article source: 1004arquitectos

The building responds to the social demand of the city of Torrelavega of an independent space to accommodate adult school Caligrama, which until now lacked its own headquarters. Located in a deteriorated urban area, the new centre intends to be a connection with the rest of the city, serving as an integration element. A new iconic building that embodies a claim of the city is created as a reference for the future of the region.

Torre del Baró refurbishment in Barcelona, Spain by Jordi Farrando architect

Tuesday, July 21st, 2015

Article source: Jordi Farrando architect

A castle which is not a castle.

The Torre del Baró was built around 1904. It is located in one of the crest lines of the Collserola hills and, despite its residential origin, seems to be a fortification of historicist style. It is visible from much of the northeastern sector of Barcelona and has views over the city and the interior valleys of the metropolitan area.
