Madroños 27-29 Residential Complex in Madrid, Spain by Bueso-Inchausti & Rein Arquitectos

Monday, July 11th, 2022

Article source: Bueso-Inchausti & Rein Arquitectos

This residential complex includes two twin buildings, realized in different phases. The construction of the first building, Madroños 27, in the Parque Conde de Orgaz area, required the previous processing of a planning figure, a detailed study, as well as the formal and functional adaptation of the building to its surroundings.

The convergence of orientation and views at noon on the front access of the plot, the existence to the north of a degraded urban environment and the adjoining buildings of a certain entity in both side boundaries, led us to positioning the façades rotated 45º with respect to the orthogonal limits of the plot.

The main characteristic of the new Goodman offices in the Paseo de la Castellana in Madrid is to respond to the new demands of the workspaces in these days and age.

The space is divided into two work areas, one for exclusively private use and a work area (meeting rooms) where visitors are received. These two spaces are joined by the Open Space which is a large open, and flexible space where all kinds of activities are combined. This space serves as a  reception, a leisure room, a dining room, for spontaneous meeting rooms.

Ritmo Formentera in Spain by Destudio Arquitectura

Wednesday, June 8th, 2022

Article source: Destudio Arquitectura

After spending the day on the paradisiacal beaches of the island of Formentera, Ritmo is thought as the place to go to enjoy a relaxing sunset and cheer up as the Mediterranean night takes center stage.

The place is located in the nerve center of the island and has the particularity of being a free-standing building, which gives it a magnificent presence from several points of view. The rehabilitation project of the building focused on eliminating palimpsests and emphasizing the semicircular arches as the characteristic element of the building. This action also had the objective of rehabilitating the disused roof and integrating the building into the Mediterranean environment through the lime coating of the entire envelope.
