The new building of the water management company Hidrobal is located in the industrial park of Calvia, in a corner plot next to industrial buildings and warehouses. The new headquarters will house offices and customer service areas of the company.
ENVIRONMENT AND SHAPE
The building is located in an intermediate location between and industrial and a residential area, adjoining the old prison in Palma, nowadays abandoned. The plot is trapezoidal, and the building adapts to it using the maximum surface area allowed, as it was required by the client. Its volumetric architecture is a constant dialogue with the environment, blending the architecture of ‘International Style’ and traditional rural buildings in Mallorca.

The building is treated as a longitudinal street that runs through the entire building and their main entrances on the headwalls, but accessible by several points, allowing the user to move freely, at all time, and allowing a clear view of the berthing areas. The wood box, works as a large lattice and sun protection of the building, so allows a nice integration with the environment in which it is situated, setting up part of the landscape from a distance, on the approach from the sea.

The notes will be tied together by means of the legato which indicates that musical notes are played or sung smoothly and connected with no interruptions at all.

On an urban context, in the center of a row-house type block, we were commissioned to build a single house. The plot is located in the southern area of Ciudad Real, in the last growth ring of the city that has not been developed due to the economic crisis of recent years. Our proposal is the first one to emerge in this area from an urban void without any context. There are not surrounding houses, typological references or architectural legacy that could serve at some point as an architectural tool in the design of the house.

The building is a part of the technological park of the A Coruña University. This technological park is formed by another six buildings interconnected among them. The plan for the Technological Park established that each building must have two volumes; one of them of four floors and the other of two. These two volumes will be divided by a pedestrian public space that will connect transversely all the buildings of the park.

The project is a small marquee designed to improve the pedestrian access to an underground parking, located in the Plaza San Juan Bosco, in Pamplona. Originally, the access was exposed, and consisted of stairs accompanied by old metal railings. The commission, therefore, consisted on covering such stairs; and the execution budget was very small.
