Humlegården apartment in Stockholm, Sweden by Tham & Videgård Arkitekter

Wednesday, August 10th, 2011

Article source: Tham & Videgård Arkitekter

Oversized and multicoloured parquet – a spatial idea.

Departing from Swedish traditional use of colours and patterns, this apartment design is inspired by the unusual quality of the location at the park Humlegården. A long row of rooms relate to the massive greenery outside. Light and colour change with the season and become very present in the interior spaces; from winter grey and black, through summertime bright and deep greens, to orange, red and yellow in autumn.

No Picnic in Stockholm, Sweden by Elding Oscarson

Wednesday, May 18th, 2011

No Picnic is one of the world’s largest design consultants, covering industrial design, product design, and packaging design; as well as art direction, consumer insight, and architecture. We could hardly imagine a better oriented client, and expected nothing less than an ambitious, demanding, and fun project. They wanted large, open office spaces, a prototype workshop, a prototype showroom, several project rooms, and a striking customer area, distinctly separated from the other spaces in order to maintain secrecy.

Paper Cut Parlor in Stockholm by Visiondivision

Thursday, April 28th, 2011

Article source: Visiondivision

Visiondivision has made a waiting room for a private clinic in Stockholm that specializes in athletic injuries. The clinic has two functions; it consists of a rehab gym and an arthroscopic centre. The clinic is occupying a storey in a larger hospital with a staircase and elevator unit that goes through all the floors in the building. We wanted to separate the clinic from the rest of the rather bland hospital environment when creating the new waiting room, and make a clearly defined space that is fresh and diverse while still being comfortable and relaxed to hang around and work in.

Waiting room for a private clinic

  • Architecture firm: Visiondivision (Anders Berensson & Ulf Mejergren)
  • Management and service consultant: Wild Windows (Wille Winell)
  • Expected completion date: late summer 2011.
  • Location: Stockholm
