La Colombière in Sutton, Canada by YH2

Tuesday, July 11th, 2017

Article source: v2com

Initially built as a small storage space by the first owner who was a lumberman, the shed was later rearranged into a forest refuge by its next owners. La Colombière (Dovery) thus represents the completion and third phase of this simple one-storey construction into a true retreat expanding on three floors.

Résidence Roy-Lawrence in Sutton, Canada by Chevalier Morales Architectes

Thursday, August 14th, 2014

Article source: Chevalier Morales Architectes

Located outside the village of Sutton, in Quebec’s eastern townships, the Roy-Lawrence Residence is set in a vast estate very much impregnated with the legacy of a Swiss immigrant family that came to Canada in the 1930’s. To this date, the surroundings of the residence are still defined by bucolic landscapes, iconic Swiss chalets and other buildings of similar nature that were erected along the years, always with a consistent touch of nostalgia.

T HOUSE in Sutton, Quebec, Canada by Natalie Dionne Architecture

Tuesday, December 17th, 2013

Article source: Natalie Dionne Architecture

T HOUSE, a country retreat in Quebec’s Eastern Townships was designed by NDA for a busy urban Montreal family. It is inspired from the writings of Pliny the Younger, whose sensual descriptions of two large Italian villas dating back to antiquity stimulate the imagination and compels us to contemplate one’s place in the surrounding landscape.
