This is a house of a young couple who work as furniture designer and shoes designer in China. With their keen aesthetic perception, they look for a quiet home which is a place like the blueprint for residence in their hearts. Finally they chose an undisturbed house, accompanied by natural view outside, located in the outskirts of Taipei as their home when they go back to Taiwan.

To highlight the sense of speed as in Wall Street and Silicon Valley, Waterfrom Design selects the element of “time” as the theme complemented by the dual fast pace of swift financial, monetary and cash flow as well as online real time information. Time is to be deconstructed in the space while in unison the space is to be reinvented and interpreted with different time definition through rapidly floating and changing rhythm.

It has been 20 years since the Metro system first established in Taiwan’s capital city, Taipei. As an underground system, the entrance to the station normally appears like a matchbox on the street like cities worldwide, without any opportunity to interact with its environment. When the extension plan revealed, an ambitious new line, which needles the city’s hot attractions carried out by the city’s public transport bureau. A proposed station site in the city’s biggest green space, the Daan Forest Park, creates a great opportunity to introduce a new idea for Metro station design.
The house is located on the top floor of a high rise building in downtown Taipei. Due to the shift of the family member and the passing of ten years since its completion, the house is in need of a renovation. The main layout remains the same, but two single bedrooms are converted into another master bedroom with a walk-in closet and an adjoining bathroom. Additionally, the upper roof floor is designed for a roof garden and a lounge space.
Acting as the main office and reception of the vast logistic center in New Taipei City, the ALP owners wanted to establish a reference design for the workplace in the warehouse setting. We utilized the properties of key elements of the logistic center to develop the space. Racking systems, pallets and shipping containers all have the ability to form multi-level spaces within a space, carrying new products and possibilities.
Steel making is a sophisticated process. Extruding, rolling, extending—the dynamic flow gives birth to the basic element of modern building structure, the steel bar. A primary goal of our project was to capture the suddenness of the motion, a moment that sustains pressure, force, and heat. The complexity is reflected in the building’s multifaceted function, encompassing areas for administration and accommodation as well as a canteen, auditorium, and gallery. Moreover, a narratively arranged visitors’ route is integrated into the building’s circulation system. These features also shape the buildings and connecting bridge.

As H&M fashion company launched their first store in Taiwan, the logistic office and warehouse were set among the mountains of Ruifung, on the outskirts of Taipei City. The reconfigured space introduces a new approach to logistic offices as opposed to the stereotypical warehouse workplace. The design embodies a casual, warm and playfulenvironment that reflects the belief in each individual’s ability to show initiative.
Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), located at Central Taiwan Innovation and Research Park in Nantou, Taiwan, is a public research institute promoting industrial innovations in Taiwan, and it is expected to be a central facility for Science Park to be built in this region. Noiz collaborated with Bio Architecture Formosana to enter the design competition for the facility (in April 2010) and won the first prize. During the development phase, the project site had to be relocated once during the design development phase, and the construction finally completed in September 2014. Noiz was in charge of the entire exterior design including building envelope, facade, roofscape and landscape, while Bio Architecture Formosana was responsible for the architectural design.
Tainan is a city born from a history of diverse cultures, peoples and traditions. The urban fabric holds memories from the 17th century European maritime trading, the Qing Dynasty Ruling, and the Japanese settlement of the early 1900s. On top of its rich history, modern Tainan is developing as a central city in the knowledge-based economy. The Public Library is about Tainan’s evolving relationship with its past and the direction towards its future.
