Intertwine – Heirloom Taipei in Taiwan by Paradox Studio

Friday, March 13th, 2015

Article source: Paradox Studio

“Intertwine” is the key to design concept of Heirloom Taipei. The brand “Heirloom” is a new brand established by two young designers with family manufacturing background and east/west crossover cultural experience. The brand logo – “Interweaving H” explicitly demonstrates the multi-level mixture of Heirloom’s brand spirit. Therefore, the theme “Intertwine” was set to abstract Heirloom’s brand statement into three-dimensional store shopping experience.

Tuesday, January 20th, 2015

Article source: Form4 Architecture

Luminous Moon-Gate was designed in 2013 for the Taichung City Cultural Center International Competition. The design intent behind the proposed project hints at multiple interpretative roles for Taichung: a portal into heightened consciousness, a lantern of knowledge, a catalyst for metropolitan living, a cultural lung for the body of the city, a gate toward a responsible future, a center regenerative of community life, a landmark for orientation.

Tuesday, December 16th, 2014

Article source: URBANWASABI

This renovation project is surrounded by highly populated residential area and open view of urban green. At the beginning, we discovered existing structural issues, and started design process to untangle structural requirements alone with architectural programming simultaneously. To provide an uninterrupted circulation, the center staircase was relocated and allowed generous, looped path to access second floor via original staircase.

CITY CULTURAL CENTER in Taichung, Taiwan by d INKOFF Architects & Engineers

Friday, October 17th, 2014

Article source: d INKOFF Architects & Engineers

The site of Taichung’s new Cultural Center still reflects its recent history as an airbase. Bulldozers move and gather broken slabs of runway concrete, the weeds growing among them testifying to the change which is occurring.  Moving into the realm of the aircraft that it once served, the site itself will become 3-dimensional, rising to serve the new age of Taichung.

“One More” Kaohsiung Residential Tower in Taiwan by spatial practice

Tuesday, August 5th, 2014

Article source: spatial practice

The recent groundbreaking ceremony for Bellevueciti Construction marks the start of construction onspatial practice first residential tower “One More” in Kaohsiung City, at the exclusive front row of the Art Museum Park.

In our culture today, we are constantly over-exposed to information and data. It is important to create a living environment that provides a relief from these elements through a reconnection with nature. The simplicity of design for the tower is the result of maximizing the dramatic relationship to the natural environment and taking full advantage of its location directly in front of the park. The horizontal band defines the uninterrupted view of the park, mountain, and sea; while also performing as a sustainable shading element to reduce heat gain.

INOTERA HAEDQUARTERS in Taipei, Taiwan by tec DESIGN STUDIO

Thursday, June 19th, 2014

Article source: tec DESIGN STUDIO

“Modern day works of architecture look like computer dreams, almost as if the machine were capable of designing a world of self-suffi cient forms on its own, without people being involved. Architecture without people or automatic writing in space, places with no need to actually be inhabited. Equivalent architecture that is self-generated, just like those generators
of random poems, which, given a certain number of words, create combinations forming haiku, which are often actually quite pleasant; likewise, generative music has been around for quite a while already, with a computer taking a certain number of “scenes” to develop a sequence of music lasting minutes or even hours.
