We want this space look organic and changeable, and also creative, not like a traditional photography studio. We use the metabolism architectural concept in the idea of design, to make this place more nature, more humanity, and with unpredictable changes.

This is a project to reinvigorate the space of an old hospital and assist the vulnerable teenagers to regrow.
This old hospital with 70 years of history is now the important rejuvenating base for the old residents in Sanxia and it will become the life skills training venue for local vulnerable and highly attention-required students in the future. Meanwhile, it will also be a place for factory tours and as the internship store. The strategy for its space development is based on how to connect the future applications and the framework of the building. We tried to show our respect to the old but reborn space to make it with new leaves on an old tree so the features of the original ward rooms are kept and maximized.

The original house is too small to accommodate their friends, especially on the weekends, so they need a large enough common area whose style can be generally accepted by most of people.
People who doesn’t love scones is that they never eat good scones.” Meio said, the house owner also is a sweets baker.
This space is same as scone made by Meio, simple, clean and unadorned. However, under simple appearance, there are many details, each corner is crafted with focus on both refined and exquisite taste. It is a quite easy and adorable space to enjoy life with a cup of tea.
In the exhibition area, the “rational and mechanical” modular scaffolding system conducts a dialogue with the life force of the dinosaurs that is “primal and organic”. While the rough scaffolding balances out the dinosaur’s gigantic scope, the gradient of the lighting, which seems to breathe, creates a spatial concept that is contrasting yet harmonious between the cold, blue-light scaffolding and the warm, yellow-light dinosaurs. The exhibition area is like a cloud in the space, fusing with the dinosaur to become one being.
