The new project, named Guha Bambu is at the east side. This building stands in the lot of 7.5 x 26 m size consisted new 3 storey Bamboo structure, 2 storey of basement. The technique to build the structure is elaborated from experimental school of alfa omega project. The technique separates the steel plane truss structure as a roof and bamboo structure to hold the 3 floor plate under steel structure roof.
The Rice Barn House design is largely driven by responding to the site’s environmental condition and by embracing the inherited local construction methodology. Our approach seeks to fuse Indonesia’s vernacular architecture with contemporary building technology to accommodate today’s living lifestyle. Thus, we incorporated traditionalism by using distinct cultural form typologies, synthetized with modern materiality selections.
This project is a residential renovation project located in Tangerang Indonesia which has a tropical climate and is quite hot and humid. The existing building cannot meet the client’s needs both in terms of space programs and in terms of design desires. Seeing this, we created a design by combining the needs of the occupants and the building itself, where the front of the building directly faces west so that the rooms in the front area have a hot air temperature until the evening. Therefore we added a layer on the facade of the building which aims to filter the light that enters the house. Because the name of the occupant is DJ, we also make the analogy of making the shape of the building as if it were two separate parts between the right and left sides like a turntable.
Located on the outskirts of Tangerang, Karawaci, one of the cities next to Jakarta, Tresno is the design of a simple tropical house in Jakarta. It’s simultaneously designed by the Geomancy principle creating 9 squares of the grid which forbids and allows some functions in the zoning such as the area of the north is for master bedroom and south for the kid’s bedroom. The squares consist of the 3.6 m x 3.6 grid in 9 square boxes with cantilevered space to allow pool, garden, and connection from ground floor to 1st floor flows from service level on the ground floor to living level on 1st floor and at the end to more private level on the 2nd-floor plan. The orientation of the sunlight is studied so the exposure is minimum from the west side facade by having a solid wall and minimum opening. the ground floor and 1st-floor functions to open to the garden. The landscape of “The Pucuk Merah trees” functions as barrier sunlight, and creating a microclimate in the periphery of the site providing microclimate.
Located in The Green Precinct, Bumi Serpong Damai, Tangerang, Kampono House sited on the corner of the complex facing west and south. Its total area is 319 sqm, and having land shaped round. The design use this existing situation to emphasize land potential of scenery and continuous form by juxtapositioning axial line and curvature lines, both in interior and exterior part. From outside, the house shows its extrovertness while from inside, neatly put program kept the activites intact. The design takes this as opportunity to maximize lighting reception and vistas. Double height window standing still upfront side that facing Southwest, shaded by 2 exsisting Albizia Chinensis trees. The design changes in a flow / continuous manner into final shape following its ground, as to resemble a dancing house, which were inspired from Mrs. Adhisty profession as dancer.
This single-family residence located in Alam Sutera designed by Axial Studio in a tropical modern manner. The design character can be highlighted through the use of crisp lines and simple geometry forms, and material treatment that further enhance the tropical ambience on the residence’s exterior.
Alpha Omega school is an educational building with spirit of locality. Located on Tangerang city, it sat on 11700 sqm area with the prior condition of swamp and paddy field. The design responded this unstable soil condition by raising structure to 2.1 m high above the ground. The site itself was chosen as part of design scheme, —corresponding to its natural surroundings, in order to give children sense of closeness to nature, thus invoking outdoor-learning experience.(The building integrates 4 modular buildings, with efficient access point in one central court yard, due to limitation of local land zoning of what can be built and what can not be built.)
Located in Alam Sutera, Tangerang, as it completed in 2016, Puncak Keemasan Group Office occupies 2.450 sqm of built area. The building is intended as office for several companies, which is a noticeable challenge in programming scheme. As part of given solution, the design proposes permeable transition to create unifying ambience with structural parabolic shape made by plywood while maintaining separation inside each chamber. Material that used as main language is plywood that covered almost all interior office. The result is jungle-like hall which connect every room with tree bookshelf and library as its main hub.
