ArtA will be an exciting mixture of public functions: a ‘sandwich’ of cinema, square, museum and park: Art House,Art Square, Art Show, Art Park.
By pushing this programmatic sandwich down on one side the roof becomes accessible. At the same time the building opens up to the river. An easily accessible roof landscape emerges draped over vibrant city life: ‘urban moraine’.

In collaboration with Van Paridon X de Groot landscape architects, DAAD Architects has designed Natuurderij KeizersRande for Stichting IJssellandschap. This biodynamic dairy farm, which also has a public and educational function, is located at an extraordinary spot along the IJssel near Diepenveen, where the lower and higher floodplains meet. The design allows the grounds to be flooded. Natuurderij KeizersRande is an extension of the existing KeizersRande estate.

Lot 7 is located in the new district ‘t Buitenhof in Culemborg and part of ten terraced houses. These are designed by different architects and built as a whole. The predetermined envelope had to be followed, particularly the position of the front facade.
The new four-star Fletcher Hotel in Amsterdam has been given a unique, sustainable interior. The hotel opened to the public on 11 January. Rising design talent Robert Kolenik (31) endowed the inspiring design with his own deliberate style: eco-chic. The eco-chic style stands for natural, unique and honest materials which simultaneously have to exude luxury and warmth too.
For our client in the Betuwe -Holland Evenementen Groep- Ateliereen designed an adventure tower at Beldert Beach, which is a recreational lake. The tower can be used for climbing and other group activities and there is a small kiosk included in the building. There is a viewing platform at a height of nineteen meters, which offers a view over the water, the wide area and the Holland Evenementen Groep.
The sports hall was commissioned by a group of sports clubs; a football club, a netball club and a volleyball club. The combined effort of this group – for example with volunteering construction workers – made it possible to construct this building on a very tight budget. For us the challenge was to design a building that would house all the clubs, could be used both separately and simultaneously by the different users and still be a notable landmark for the small community of Liessel. By combining parts of the functions of the original program and the newly designed flexible spaces, we were able to reduce the total gross floor area and thereby the total building cost.
De Rotterdam is conceived as a vertical city: three interconnected mixed-use towers accommodating offices, apartments, a hotel, conference facilities, shops, restaurants, and cafes. The project began in 1997. Construction started at the end of 2009, with completion in 2013.

The design for the Theatre Spijkenisse focuses on the placement and orientation of the building in the urban location, whilst simultaneously providing architectural solutions for programming needs and public access.
Traffic flows play an important role in the organisation of the building. Access routes to the theatre form an essential artery for the city, with the theatre providing a point of recognition for returning visitors and functioning as a visiting card for the city as a whole.

At the train station of Haarlem, The Netherlands, underneath the historical roofed gallery, Powerhouse Company designed two retail pavilions, one for Starbucks and one for Broodzaak, a Dutch chain for take-away sandwiches, coffee and snacks. With the arrival of the pavilions the site retrieves its original function as an area for meeting and waiting.
Residence with swimming pool and unique bedroom pavilions
On part of estate Duivenvoorde seven plots will be available for people who want to design their own home. The future residents will be living in absolute peace in an ancient cultural landscape, while The Hague, Leiden and Schiphol Airport are all within reach. Selling of the plots has started in 20.
