Pınar Gökbayrak, Ali Eray and Burçin Yıldırım, the co-founders of PAB Architects, who are also the Young Architect Under 40 Award Winners of 2015, have designed a coworking space in an industrial neighborhood of Istanbul that started to change into a lively hub for creative industries.
Habita is an office space designed with the notion of innovation, creativity and productivity that can be maintained by collaboration, interaction, and learning from each other. The entrepreneurs who founded Habita aim to sustain a creative community which can learn from one another both professionally and socially in the coworking and living environment with a motto of “accelerating in a shared habitat”.
The story of the lighting design works started with a simple question; Does ‘light’ really touch us emotionally?
Inspired by the late Ottoman architecture, the mosque consists of a main dome, eight carrier columns, four secondary domes, five entrance domes and four three-balcony-minarets. The main dome has inner diameter of 20m and height of 32m. The height of minarets is 61m. The mosque is extending in the west and east directions with a domed portico surrounding the courtyard.

Anatolia Tiles is a Canadian Company who imports ceramic tiles they got produced in Europe and Turkey and sell them in Canadian market. Recently they decided to sell their products in the U.S. market as well, especially in southern part of U.S.A. As a result of their strategic plans they decided to build a logistic center in Aliaga -Izmir/TURKEY as direct sea transport from south of Turkey to Southern U.S.A came out to be much cheaper than TIR transport.
The company has 10 similar logistic buildings in Canada, thus they are used to working with architects and they were in the expectation of a similar design approach in their new building as in their existing buildings.
The Hexoffice Building is situated in Gayrettepe, one of the developing business sites. The goal is to create an innovative A plus building in the existing building pattern of the area. The main approach to design the building aims to separate the circulation and office area both in terms of mass proportions and facade. The circulation and service areas of the building are situated on the west side by occupying as minimum space as possible and creating maximum space for the office usage. The building has double facade mesh which creates controlled lighting of the office areas whereas the circulation and service areas are closed with an opaque facade. The green terraces located in every floor of the building increases the happiness of the employees and tears the pattern of the facade.
Located on the European side of Istanbul , the Maslak quarter is one of the most important business districts of the metropolis. Here slapa oberholz pszczulny | sop architekten has built the Orjin Maslak Plaza, a high-rise office block of the highest standards.
Besides office space, the 16-storey building also offers a food court, conference centre and several retail units on the ground floor and its two basements – ideal for meeting the high demand for such services locally. The office levels are highly flexible and can accommodate all the usual forms of office organisation, including individual, shared and open-plan offices.
