Balance Gunesli is a mixed use building complex that consists office, residences and bazaar, designed by Avcı Architects. The project has developed to integrate the area with the city as a qualified landscaping area enriched with water elements.
On the contrary of typical tower design rising from a podium, the goal of this project is to develop a neighbourhood feeling and become a new business center along with other developments close by. The future main pedestrian street along the site is inviting and at the same time forms an enclosed urban square for the project. After entering through the square, pedestrians are finally getting connected to the landscape of Ayamama river through the permeable structure along street. The same permeability continues through the neighbouring sites and creates very inviting public areas. Lower buildings are located around those streets.
BJK No1903 designed by Istanbul based Elips Design & Architecture with an architectural approach reflecting the spirit of BJK Football Club. Awarded as “Best International Mixed Use Project” at 2018 International Property Awards the building provides a high quality facility for public use.
BJK No1903 project, award-winning mixed use project of Elips Design & Architecture, is located in Istanbul, Akatlar. Architects started to work for the project with the aim of providing a high quality facility which will reflect the spirit of long-standing BJK Football Club founded in 1903 and be open to public use. Design and project planning phases done according to the needs of building program which has 4600 m² open area and 3600 m² closed area.
Republic Square of Mardin designed by Ankara/Istanbul based office 4M Salalı Architects with an area of 9.000 sqm, aims to create a new cultural focus in the heart of historical city of Mardin by transforming a central location surrounded by many precious historical buildings. The project’s construction phase has begun and it is planned to be completed in September 2019.
Republic Square of Mardin is located in Mardin which is situated in the south-east of Turkey. Mardin is one of the most distinctive cities in Turkey with reflections of the cultural influences of various dynasties throughout the history. Historical buildings such as mosques, shrines, churches, monasteries and caravanserais in the city, represent different religious beliefs and cultures. Also, it hosts stone houses which have been listed as world heritage sites. Republic Square of Mardin is designed to be an accessible, extroverted and modern focal point in harmony with the historical texture of Mardin, which has hosted numerous civilizations in its thousands of years of history.
The headquarter building for Empera, one of the biggest companies that manufactures machine-woven carpets in the southeast of Turkey has been designed in the organized industrial zone (oiz*) in Gaziantep where the company also has its manufacturing factory. The headquarter building was planned to become a reference building in a setting with rather restricted architectural references and was to represent the strong brand identity. Moreover the design of the project was guided by the climate, its surrounding natural landscape, effective use of daylight and multiple functions that this building was to host.
SO? has redesigned an existing 20000 m2 public cultural center by a major renovation project for Beylikduzu Municipality in Istanbul. Located in a district with 317.000 population, the project serves as a major public spot with its vibrant facilities such as library, children library, multi-purpose hall, playground area, workshops and studios and cinema halls, all reconfigured and redesigned by SO?. The building has gone under both structural and architectural renovation that require the redesigning of the entire interior and the façade.
The first phase of the Antalya Konyaalti coastline rehabilitation project, which covers an area of approximately 100 hectares has been opened to the public on 15th of June, 2018. This area was the subject of a national architectural competition opened in 2014 and Ozer\\Urger Architects’ proposal was the winning design to be implemented in collaboration with Tugay Architects.
The Mediterranean Avenue was the first executed phase of the Antalya Konyaalti coastline rehabilitation project that also includes the Museum Square and Variant, Beachpark and Olbia Square as four different characteristic areas.
The archeological site of Troy has been inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998 because of its outstanding universal value as a site that has witnessed various civilizations for over 4000 years and has been a significant influence on the development of the European civilization, arts and literature over two millennia.
Museum of Troy, located 800 meters from the site, is honoring this heritage and is a medium to tell the rich history of Troy in relation to its natural, cultural, artistic and archeological context. The museum building was acquired as a result of a national architectural design contest held by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey in 2011. The museum was opened to visitors in October 2018 as a result of 7 years of work. At the same time, 2018 was declared by the ministry as the “Year of Troy”.
At Tuzla, Tepeören Region, this project is located in a complex where approximately 100 light steel detached residential buildings produced in 90s for a small family. In the project, depending on the user requirements, working scheme and interior design was studied. By using the advantage of the steel building, which is exposed to the structural system, the design has been handled flexibly.

Departments that are set-up around social areas located at the centre create an enjoyable environment for the employees and a design raising the motivation of the employees to the highest level is targeted with colours, materials and interior landscape works.
Situated at the perimeter of the expanse of Hacettepe University’s Beytepe Campus in Ankara, Museum and Center for Biodiversity building houses scientific research facilities and exhibition spaces devoted to scientific materials on the topic of biodiversity. Beytepe Campus is on the main development axis in Ankara, the westward highway to Eskişehir, which creates severe pressure of urbanization and land fragmentation. The campus sits on a system of interconnected valleys and ridges that also extend to neighboring campus lands, with several particular valleys which still have a distinct ecosystem. Several long to mid-term projects are under consideration, aimed at preserving this natural resource within the shifting center of a rapidly developing city of five million people. Museum and Center for Biodiversity is one of the most concrete attempts within this scope; it will be a contribution for landscape preservation as well as a social stimulus for the scientific community.
