A room overlooking the town square, that’s totally redesigned by the creative studio Visual Display [interior, identity, stories] to transform the previous tavern into the new entrance of the 2 Michelin stars restaurant “Agli Amici 1887” in Udine.
The space turns into a place to enjoy a welcome aperitif, fully becoming part of the proposed gastronomic experience, indeed anticipating it. The concept was therefore born with the idea of making this space – which is in fact the customer’s first approach to the kitchen and the philosophy of chef Emanuele Scarello – a place suspended in time, silent, surprising, and representative of the very essence of the restaurant.
The Pratic Headquarters dialogue with the earth and the sky, with light and shadow.
The productive and directional functions relate to the landscape without mimicry. The spaces are designed with the aim of establishing a constant relationship between interior and exterior. Thus Pratic becomes the landmark of the landscape.
The Pratic Spa, a manufacturer of solar shading systems, is an industrial site where the architecture for production becomes a contribution to the landscape and reinforces its identity.
Filling Station Motel is a space dedicated to nowadays travelers, two wheels lovers and locals.
An old disused ENI-Agip hangar, a large service station, a thoroughfare in a border region at the bottom of the mountains, overlooking the sea. The research and decision of this location among many was the first and most important design choice, which proved to be perfect both from a commercial and stylistic point of view in order to give form and substance to the project.
The conceiving of the brand name takes inspiration from the origin of the first Agip motels, which were built throughout Italy during the 1950s, as support service for large petrol stations.
Plaxil 8 is an industrial building housing a fully automated MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) manufacturing line. The line consists of a fiber sorting and mat formation section, a continuous hot press section and an unloading and stacking section.
This plant replaces the previous Plaxil 4 and Plaxil 5 press lines, retaining however their existing defibrators and warehouses.
The building covers an area of about 8500 square metres within the Osoppo production site of the Fantoni group. It is situated among other buildings north of the Plaxil 5 “Cathedral” building, originally designed by Gino Valle in 1985.
The building is 300 m long and 28 m wide. Its west side is over 50 m high, while the rest of the structure has an average height of 14.50 m. It is the largest press in Europe and the second largest in the World for the production of MDF boards, which are used for the manufacture of furniture, doors, interior panelling and soundabsorbing materials.

A new function (a place for music) for an old (and silent) building (a former bus depot) represents an architectural+technological challenge and a poetic content at the same time.
A new building rises inside the old one, and includes all the structural and technological solutions required. The new building does not touch the old one, which remains visible and gets more value from this addition.
Located in an area on the border between the suburbs of Udine and the countryside, the new Municipal Bowling Hall of Udine in Cussignacco is a category “A – systems for high performance” facility for playing bowls, comparable to a sports complex dedicated exclusively to this sporting activity.
