The project for La Manera consists in seeking to create a hospitality concept that could work by day and by night, adaptable to each moment and requirement, starting with a brunch and coffee during the morning, converting itself in a restaurant during the evening and ending up as a cocktail bar. For that the existing building brick walls have been recovered, while a rusty finish has been added to the metallic elements on walls, lamps and the bar. For furniture some metallic elements with the same rusty finish have been mixed with concrete, adding a touch of warmth through brown soft leather and cushions made of different fabrics. Also be recognized in the space is the use of a lattice wall that aims to add a touch of Mediterranean feeling to the space, while the plants seek to connect even more to the natural concept from La Manera.

The road is made by walking…, as Antonio Machado said some decades ago. In this way, the Caro Hotel has been forging its own path for some time now, first with the completion of Alma del Temple Restaurant, recently connected to the hotel, and now the hotel itself. The building, a recognized Hotel Monument, is like a palimpsest on which each of its numerous residents have left their mark, the latest being our studio. Integrated elements and cultures that have been revealed slowly over time… featuring the noteworthy 12th-century Almohad wall standing 15 meters high, which runs lengthwise down the center of the building.
The House in the Forest is settled in an extensive residential area. A large pine forest on the plot itself is the closest surroundings of the house.
On the basis of four stone walls, we generate prismatic volumes that fragment the space, identifying each room. The interstitial area between the parts is covered by an element of wood, which acts as a distributor and connector between the spaces of the house.
Restoration of a town house overlooking two streets with a minor different in altitude between both. The main façade has been maintained along with the two main bays forming the existing construction, with a new side annex being added to this that contains the rear façade and where the garage is housed. This new construction has been taken advantage of in order to create a basement floor intended for installations, washroom and storeroom.
This peculiar and personal “loft” is located near Malvarrosa Beach, in the distinctive neighborhood of “El Cabañal” at Valencia City. The Origin house responded to the top floor of a very common type of town house between party walls. It’s accessed from the Street through a narrow staircase. The depth of plot required the existence of intermediate rooms that were illuminated and ventilated by a small courtyard; on the other hand, the kitchen and the “toilet” occupied the rear façade as attached parts, and connected through an ancient terrace that had been closed; Finally, throughout the house roof was a ceiling of plaster that hid the actual volume of the steep cover Gable.
The house in La Cañada is placed on a residential area very close to Valencia. Its plot is surrounded by existing vegetation and opened to its immediate surroundings. A large number of pine trees and palm trees forms the background of the house.
The origin of the project is the need of self-enclosed house, protected from the exterior but also fluid and opened to the depth of the garden.
