The house in La Cañada is placed on a residential area very close to Valencia. Its plot is surrounded by existing vegetation and opened to its immediate surroundings. A large number of pine trees and palm trees forms the background of the house. The origin of the project is the need of self-enclosed house, protected from the exterior but also fluid and opened to the depth of the garden.
Masquespacio presents the last project they designed for Piur, a restaurant chain from Valencia specialized in pizzas.
The developed project starts with the previous investigation of Piur’s brand strategy and the values expressed by the client from which honesty, the use of a fresh product and a concept inspired by the Valencian origin of its founders can be highlighted. Another important fact transmitted by the client is that the visitors of Piur are persons that desire to have a moment of joy together with their family or friends.
Thereby, the design first of all seeks to find a concept that could connect with the Valencian origins of Piur’s founders and at the same time could work as an attraction point for the restaurant visitors.
Kento Gran Vía is the last project from the Spanish take away sushi chain, designed by Masquespacio.
For this last project that was inaugurated in March 2019 we continue with the aesthetic parameters in search for new forms of presenting the interiors from the Asian food chain, maintaining its brand image and with the aim to surprise its clients with every new opening. This time the main materials used have been tiles of a bigger format and wood in semicircular strips already used in the previous interior design for Kento. This way we wanted to continue to introduce a new material for each Kento, but maintaining others that remind clearly to the brand’s previous interiors. The much more minimalist design for this space, although creates a strong contrast with the metallic green and gold colors applied on the different furniture and lighting elements.
In conclusion, the last Kento opening presents another version of the brand specialized in sushi, staying faithful to the corporate identity, but always looking to surprise their clients.
The project is located in El Carmen, Valencia’s historical district. This place has experienced a chaotic growth over the years. The urban plot is irregular and erratic, very rich in genuine street intersections. These spots are where social life happens.
Close to Torres de Serrano, the apartment is set on the last floor on a late 60s building. It has a particular shape molded by carrer de la Creu and the north side of Plaza del Ángel. Its rationalist style, highlights among buildings over 100 years of history.
The distribution follows a fan scheme and in combination with the openings, makes it very open and panoramic. It allows to establish several visual connections to iconic elements of the city: the Miguelete, the Carmen church, the monumental Arabic Wall, and Serranos main street, witnessing an inspiring cultural palimpsest.
The building is a classic construction of the “Eixample” located on Buenos Aires street in the city of Valencia, Spain. It was built in 1934, and after years of neglect and deterioration, it has been restored to its original aspect that the passage of time and the lack of maintenance had made it lose.
It houses 18 apartments of different types that welcome visitors in an atmosphere of absolute comfort, combined with an aesthetic that transports you to the Valencia of the early 20th century.
The interior design agency and consultancy Masquespacio, headed by Ana Milena Hernández and Christophe Penasse, has just finished a significant project in Valencia with the debut of the first concept store for RUBIO, the famed publisher of educational workbooks that have been part of Spanish schoolchildren’s studies for the last 60 years.
This singular project has been one in which Masquespacio has skilfully infused the essence of RUBIO into its flagship store, largely thanks to the sensitivity of its Creative Director, Ana Milena Hernández, who quickly connected with the publisher. “For me, the connection that I’ve made with RUBIO and its CEO Enrique Rubio, who has a special affinity toward art, has been fundamental. In fact, I was already attracted to their image and aesthetics, including the brand colour code, long before meeting them. Their design philosophy is very close to ours,” explains Ana Milena.

The Garbí House is located in the local Esplanade, just a few metres from the seashore. It is a quiet, low-density area, among typical fishermen’s houses dated in the early 20th century.
The design process included the reinterpretation and abstraction of these vernacular buildings. The Garbí House is placed between party walls and respects the aesthetic parametres of the contiguous houses seeking the highest degree of integration.
Loft 01 was designed for a single professional. Conceived as an open and flexible concept, the loft is divided in two different storeys where natural light interconnects the multiple spaces.
A central cube has been conceived as the core element of the design integrating all services within; including kitchen, bathroom, laundry and storage. This central cube also features an integrated folding system that enables the generation of spaces that appear and disappear responding to different needs and uses of the loft. The main access to the loft is through an architectural piece of furniture shaped as a thick wall that integrates facilities and storage inside.

The home in the Pine Forest is located in an extended residential area, between spacious green areas, woodlands and pine trees. The plot itself, which has a significant topographic slope, holds a large area of natural Mediterranean garden with a cluster of pines, in its lowest area. The housing is located at the top, dominating the environment through a counterpoint relationship with the garden.
The project responds to a geometry of contrasts based on this theme: the nature provides the vertical position of pine trees, while the architecture spreads out oblong and horizontal, as a great viewpoint in its setting.
As a starting point, an open block of multi-family housing north of Valencia. From the highest part of the building, the house has privileged views of the city.
For this reason, the day area is distributed as a single space that takes advantage of the three orientations of the house. And that through the three openings the space changes as the day progresses, with sunlight.
The house is structured through a space that organizes all the uses of the house, which serves as access, storage, distributor, an extension of the room …. the fourth room, a new space that allows you to live the spaces in a different way.
