As part of the expansion of the Vienna – Bratislava railway line, the Aspern train station was built, which forms a mobility hub for the new Aspern district together with the adjacent underground station. The main access to the island platform is via a pedestrian bridge that connects the train station with the subway station to the south. To the north, the bridge will span the planned expressway and establish a connection to the future Park & Ride facility.

NB1 – Residential Tower Nordbahnhof in Austria by AllesWirdGut

Wednesday, September 26th, 2018

Article source: AllesWirdGut

High shalt thou live!

The residential high-rise building in the most central Viennese urban development area at Nordbahnhof is already the second building block that AllesWirdGut is setting in this district. With clever arrangement and shaping, the building with around 340 residential units is larger than it looks. The result is a varied, slim form, which creates space and connects the high-rise with the city and the adjacent park.

Article source: v2com

Close to the St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna, the popular Austrian bar and restaurant chain Wein & Co has opened a new branch. The reason for completely renovating the already existing catering area of a Gründerzeit building was the possibility to extend the company to three levels and to modernize them. On an area of 800 square metres, BEHF architecturally implemented the motto “WINING DINING SHOPPING” by creating a spacious suite of rooms as well as a distinctive ambience.

Extension of the Lycée Français de Vienne and Renovation of the Studio Molière in Wien, Austria by Dietmar Feichtinger Architectes

Friday, June 23rd, 2017

Article source: v2com

The “theatre’s” particular cultural function, location and organisation in a historical building and the identity of the new school building are central to the project.

“Contrasts attract each other”

The attempt, in the 19th century, to open up the old riding school, is reflected in the new school building. It is reused and adapted in a contemporary current way. This use of contrasts – with different technologies, construction methods, materials and energy technologies – is also expressed through the reflection of the old building on the façade of the new school. This effect is reversed as soon as it gets dark, when the school building illuminates the old studio.

Sakura in Wien, Austria by NERMA LINSBERGER ZTGMBH

Article source: v2com

The property is located on a very busy intersection. An intervention in the existing building use class made possible better light and sun exposure conditions. In order to defuse the “T”-point, a V-shaped courtyard has been cut into the building. The paths to the access balcony and the ancillary areas are concentrated around the courtyard.

A passage in the East creates a pedestrian connection between Brünnerstraße and a park in the West.

Sunday, April 3rd, 2011

The only enclosure around the new school in Embelgasse is the perimeter of the block. With its large glass surfaces, the ground floor affords an insight into everyday school life, opening the inside of the block to the street. The outward appearance of the new vocational training school is characterized by openness, transparency, and through‑views.
