DOM.RF, an institute for housing development in Russia, is promoting the concept of institutional investment jointly with local developers. Aiming to design tailored housing in each Russian city, it secures long-term rental in revamped apartments with good household facilities.
A rental home in Southern Quarters housing estate completed by Brusnika presents a similar project in Yekaterinburg. Southern Quarters is a large-scale redevelopment scheme scheduled for the nearest ten years. It will feature new housing with a rental home, schools and kindergartens, sports facilities, parks and alleys.
The Northern Quarter is a new housing estate in the northern-eastern part of Yekaterinburg. Located in a residential area, the plot neighbours high-rises, private cottages, production facilities and garages.
The master plan from the Dutch LEVS Architecten restores the historical grid of streets, disrupted by industrial and private construction, aligns it and creates a rich environment based on the ‘city within the city’ principle, with variously sized and designed houses, a square, an avenue, numerous shopping facilities and amenities. Brusnika was the project’s contractor and developer.
Southern Quarters is a large-scale renovation project in Yekaterinburg, Russia. Some of the wooden houses on the site were derelict or in the state of disrepair. Urban sprawl, proximity to the city centre and transport networks necessitated designing new, denser and more varied accommodation in the area. Brusnika launched the plot redevelopment project in 2018.

Design have been revealed for the sustainable new headquarters of RMK, one of the world’s leading producers of copper – the project rethinks the conventional cellular office to set new standards in quality, comfort and flexibility. The 13-storey building has been tailored to the way that RMK operates, inside and out – the innovative modular office units are wrapped in an energy efficient enclosure, which provides a distinctive symbol for the organisation in Yekaterinburg.
The Yekaterinburg office of ‘Yandex’ Company occupies the fifteenth floor of a new business center ‘Palladium’. The building is close to circle in section and consequently the office space is concentrated around the lift group and technical premises; in plan view it reminds of a horseshoe.
