Vectorworks 2022 Service Pack 3 is here bringing exciting functionality to our latest version and improvements to Vectorworks Cloud Services for all design customers. The core updates focus on re-engineering the web viewing of a 3D model and Nomad app, new storage integrations with the Vectorworks Cloud, updates to Datasmith file exchange for a direct link to Twinmotion, and support for .gITF within the MVR export from Vectorworks Spotlight.
Significant Re-Engineering Provides a Better Experience on Cloud and Mobile Platforms Vectorworks Nomad and the web view feature in Service Pack 3 employ the Unity platform for some game-changing new functionality. This enables a consistent interface and access to all the same features whether using Nomad’s 3D model viewer or exporting a web link.

Simplified Direct Link with Twinmotion for Time Savings in Syncing Model Changes Vectorworks 2022 introduced Next-Gen technology features including a new Direct Link to Twinmotion. With this update, the Datasmith Direct Link tool in Vectorworks allows you to immediately send model changes to Twinmotion in real time with the Auto Sync option. Additionally, the Datasmith export now supports data and light information in the Unreal Engine editor for more data-rich and detailed models. There’s a variety of applications to use for rendering. Check out our guide for tips and tricks on using Twinmotion with Vectorworks software. The service pack is available as a downloadable update for all U.S. English-based versions of Vectorworks 2022. To install, select “Check for Updates” from the Vectorworks menu (Mac) or Help menu (Windows). We’re constantly improving and re-engineering our features to give our users the best of the best so they can design without limits. We also enjoy hearing feedback from customers and connecting with them to discuss anything from design to mastering a new workflow—and they will soon have that opportunity once again.
