Tuesday, December 12th, 2017

Article source: BECZAK / BECZAK / ARCHITEKCI

This house, located in Owczarnia, a village near Warsaw, to a large degree owes its form to its owners, who, wanting a personalized, unique look, agreed to a spatial composition that departed from that of the archetypal home. The result was a building they came to call “the sarcophagus,” “the battleship” or “the crystal.”

Article source: COMAS-PONT ARQUITECTES SLP

All the rehabilitation services for people with mental illness are grouped in this building composed by the repetition of a 6m wide spatial module.  An economic and energy-sustainable constructions system, the domestic scale and the warmth of the interior spaces added to the closed relationship between building and nature makes it a HEALTHY BUILDING.

The building is located next to the main health centers of the city (Vic), surrounded by a park on the outskirts, and its program is basically developed on a ground floor to facilitate the mobility of its users.

IVG Media Bridge in Munich, Germany by Steidle Architects

Tuesday, July 19th, 2016

Article source: Steidle Architects

On the industrial site directly neighboring the East Railway Station, the IVG Munich developed a concept for the future of the “new media” many of which were already housed in an existing building on the site.  In order to fulfil the desperately needed extra space requirements for the already fully rented 100,000 square meters of building, Steidle Architects studied the zoning and building situation of this area neighboring the well-known “Kunstpark Ost” (artistic park east).

Article source: L3P Architekten ETH FH SIA AG

After the removal of border limit clearances only 5m x 9m are left overin this small steep lot at the vineyard at Dielsdorf. With a maximum of 83 m2above-ground level living, this lot has long been considered unbuildable. A classical residential house with solid outer walls, conventional access staircase and traffic area has no space on this site.

JACER – training center in Ústí nad Labem-město, Czech Republic by 3+1 architekti

Tuesday, December 2nd, 2014

Article source: 3+1 architekti

Originally a farmhouse, built in the second half of the nineteenth century in Předlice in the suburbs of Ústí nad Labem.

Under the communist regime it was occupied by agricultural cooperative which used the estate strictly pragmatically – only what was immediately needed was taken care of, the rest was neglected. Since the 90´s, the place was deserted and rapidly fell apart. Despite devastation of the area, there was still a strong sense of the original conception and smart design left.

Massive objects along the perimeter of the property define scale and space of the large yard area. Two of those – fifty meters long stables on the western edge of the property and sixty two meters long barn on the south – form basis of our proposal.

SINGLE FAMILY HOUSE Habrovice in Ústí nad Labem, Czech Republic by 3+1 architekti

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2014

Article source: 3+1 architekti

Agricultural village spread around a municipal road. Original strong and confident establishment as well as neighboring generous farm houses are gone. Nearby natural swimming pool (widely used not long time ago) has been devastated (also due to lack of interest of local authorities). That is an unsettling image of the contemporary outside. Uncertainty, treading water… Now what?
