Article source: bluarch Rosé Restaurant offers an upbeat dining experience on the South Beach strip in Miami, Florida. Rosé was designed using a conceptual framework that acknowledges and indulges in both the glamour and the vibrancy of the 1960’s by paying homage to the lifestyle of the celebrities of the time… As icons Bianca and Mick Jagger, exemplified the glamour of the time, and were observed for their cutting edge style and flavor, designer Emilio Pucci, was at the cutting edge of fashion. Known for his geometric prints in a kaleidoscope of colors, he seemed an appropriate symbol from which to draw the interior architecture of the space.
The color fields delivering a layered understanding of a geometry is, in Pucci’s fashion, an opportunity to structure fabric… In this project, it is an opportunity to structure space. A series of laser-cut lacquered MDF panels with a gold mirrored edge line the ceiling and walls. They are attached to the walls via a furring assembly that allows for screened lighting. The entire dining room is further clad in stained Rosewood. This enhance the softness and femininity of the space, while the communal table in the center offers steps at each end, to let guests party and perform… A DJ booth is located at the mezzanine level, and behind it is a private dining room, with more decadent accents.
