Salon located in the provincial city of Kure, Hiroshima, Japan. Been expected to become a community space in the area. This salon suppose to be for all ages. Therefore no sense of limitation, the image of the design had to be favorable for all ages.

Cut space we can feel the depth of space

Overlooking from the entrance to the back room

We made the hair salon which has both of privacy and expanding of the inside compact space with the function of hair salon. The wall separating the spaces for each function is the height of waist, and the upper part is a fabric of the transparent material. From the facade to the space interior, we unified the material of which configure the whole space. It made us possible to make the soft spread in compact space.

Widely felt that the curtain off

The fabric material from the ceiling softly partitioned space. They also give impression of the soft space with the illumination inside of the window back. They are mobile so they become sometimes a fitting area, sometimes a cloak room area and sometimes the back yard. We realized the production that everyone can share the sounds, shine and indication with keeping privacy depending on the function in the hole of this salon

That we have continuity with the internal

Coats and luggage deposit are just inside the reception desk. Before the reception and waiting space is provided to children. Cut space is placed in the center of the room. Shampoo space is completely enclosed by a curtain. Innermost is the staff room.

The entire surface is covered by curtains

Reception and acceptance cuts are softly partitioned

A kid’s room and adjacent waiting spaces, which allow to have communications
