Article source: ADEPT The design of the new administration building for FeF Chemicals in Køge Denmark is a fantastic opportunity to make an exciting new environment for the users of the building, and at the same time create added value as a public face for future visitors. With its unique location overlooking the Bay of Køge – and the protected landscape around the bay – the interaction between building and landscape will create a unique experience for employees and visitors.
The existing building stock and the new administration building must interact in order to create spaces that appear consistent, but the new project also makes for an opportunity to point forward and show the way for new opportunities which the FeF family can be proud of and that solves all functional requirements. The new administration building creates a qualitative and innovative working environment for users and visitors, while creating a building which signals FeF Chemicals’ new modern and extrovert administration building. The project title plays on the double meaning of the term “office landscape” covering the traditional programmatic content but at the same time creating synergy between “office” and “landscape”, by exploring the tension and the meeting between the two – an office on the landscape.
