Ion architecture has been founded in 2007 by David Lecomte and Laurent Zimny architects, after a first experience called Boskop in 2004, with F. Delhay, S. Delhay and F.Guesquière. This agency has realized an experimental project of social housing in Nantes (France).

David Lecomte and Laurent Zimny have also worked in association on the new Crowne Plazza hotel in EuraLille, on The International City of Lace and Fashion in Calais, on the head office of the french central bank in Paris, and on the restructuration of the Lille-Lesquin airport.

The Ion Architecture agency work at the moment on the Louvre project in Lens (Pas-de-Calais, France), a hotel and some housing, near the future Louvre museum made by the agency Sanaa.
